I had such a lovely weekend in Concan Texas visiting the beautiful trails! The town was so friendly and so were the locals. The only downside of the trip was the two times we tried to eat at Mill's, a restaurant nearby where we were staying. The time listed online is not accurate with the first time we had showed up when it was closed at 8 in fact, and not at 9 P.M. We came back the next day. We sat down. I was greeted with a waitress that snapped at me for not allowing dogs in. She then questioned if my dog was a service dog. Which I replied as to "yes". She then questioned me and I showed her the ESA tag on her leash. She is currently a service dog in training and I did not have on the vest. She then snapped again stating that there is a difference between ESA and service dogs and that I had to leave. It is okay that I was unable to eat there. I can live with that. It was the manner as to how she treated me and my friend. I understand that people can be in different moods. However, to be mindful and to not question others peoples disabilities. Perhaps because my disability is not visible, people will rarely react this way. However, I would of been more than happy to excuse myself if she had asked politely... it was the manner, the tone, and the dirty looks and raising of her voice when we were acting neutral trying to have a nice meal. Instead of eating here, I would recommend 'Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop', excellent service, views, and kind staff, or Lala's...

We waited almost 35-40 minutes before someone came and asked for our drink order than walked away and said she would come back sat another 10minutes until finally returning and we went ahead and ordered food also because 3 kids sitting that long they get very restless. We got our food and I have to say I was not impressed my husband ordered Mexican and was unable to eat it and I had nachos that were not that good. There was one elderly man who came and visit with us who was very friendly and talked to the kids but other than him the rest of the staff was not friendly at all. Not...
Read moreHave eaten at this cafe a couple of times and had great food and service. Today we arrived after 1PM. Place was not crowded. The waitress was prompt and friendly. The onion rings were delicious. The side salad was wilted lettuce with tomatoes and cucumber slices from the salad bar. The pepper steak my sister got was good. The Monterey chicken I ordered was dry and rubbery. I could not even cut it with a knife. The worst was flies. Im from Texas and understand about flies in summer but I have never been in a restaurant with so many and no apparent attempt to control them or keep them off the salad bar or the desserts that were sitting uncovered....
