Oriental Garden — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

When I was a little boy in Amarillo texas, the Ding How Restaurant made food just like this. There's nothing particularly amazing about this style food except that it is so ubiquitous across the United states. This particular restaurant is very tasty, and the owners are wonderful people. It is very clean. The portions are large for the money. I highly recommend eating here if you like traditional Americanized Chinese food. Some would say this is Mandarin style. Whatever style it really is, I like it, as it brings home not only memories of great meals, but great times shared with my family. I think everyone should have a place that is remindful of happy times, and this is it. Your children will like it, too. As for specific dishes, my wife loves the garlic chicken, and she will eat it as it is keto friendly when eaten without rice. I prefer the beef and broccoli, or perhaps a combination plate. The egg foo young is very delicious with the traditional brown gravy that makes it it! I have never had a bad meal from this restaurant, and even after driving 20 miles home, the food is still hot, which means it was put into the box at just under lava temperature. The only good thing about this place is the Pepsi and air conditioning to be straight up. All my food came in like less than 5 minutes and it all tasted the same which was very disappointing 😞. My brother said the same thing I am not picky at all but I am not going to be served garbage. I ended up paying 25 dollars and leaving within 15 minutes. My stomach is still bubbly even like 2 hours later and I barely ate any of the food. I ordered some pork fried rice and almond chicken. The rice was minute rice with some barely cooked pork slapped on tip. My almond chicken looked microwaved with some gravy tossed on it I had 2 bites and was done. I was very nice when I told them the food was disgusting like I said I payed and left. I had a bad day and was banking on this place and they hella let me down my brother and I. The inside of this restaurant is not the typical Chinese restaurant - that is to say it's pretty plain inside. That said - I rate restaurants heavily on the 2 most important points: food quality and service. The food my wife and I ordered was all very good - and having had Chinese food all over the world I can say that the food here is what you'd expect - Chinese. The Beef and Broccoli I ordered was pleasantly garlicy, the egg rolls had good flavor, the egg drop soup very good, and the chicken with peapods very fresh.
