(((BOOMER CENTRAL)))
I entered these etablishment to have drink... I informed the waitress that I was taking pictures for Google. She even brought me a menu so I could take photos of it... I order a beer and a shot, and took a panoramic view of the bar. She began to question me out loud whether or not I was taking pictures for Google. I then informed her that I was a reviewer for Google, and I take photos of out of the way etablishments, and hidden loca gems, so I can bring them more patrons.. She began to become irate, and question other patrons as to whether or not I had a right to take pictures there. I chimed in, and informed her that if she did not want me to take pictures of the establishment, I would be more than happy to not take pictures, and not help them patronize their business. She alluded to me making threats, at which time I replied that I would simply stop taking photos or leaving a review, because in me doing so, it would bring them patrons that otherwise would not see this rural location... I did not start to be treated poorly until I won a $25 prize on their pull tabs... I think this might have something to do with it, but I can only speculate, because all I went there for was to show that the establishment is a nice one, that I have been attending for 20+ years, and I wanted to let other people know, from outside of the area, that they make a great killer tenderloin... After going there for several decades, and be being treated the way I was, I will not be returning, and I cannot in good faith give them a good rating. The food is great, but everyone that works there, apparently, thinks they own the business, and has the right to not only treat patrons like trash, but then continue to do so, to other patrons, as I left the establishment. I left quickly & quietly, with absolutely no animosity. I recommend skipping this place, unless you enjoy going out of your way, to not only be then be treated like dirt, by a bunch of boomers, who barely know what Google is.... And, if you happen to win one of the $25 prizes, expect to have a bad...
Read moreThis is a small town called Americus. This is a cozy diner with decor giving it a rustic cabin feel which i like. The food is fantastic. I had a prime rib sandwitch on a grilled toast type bread. Great taste. I also got coleslaw. Homemade i would guess. Also very good flavor. My two daughters had the hefty 1/2 pound burger. Huge burger full of flavor. One daughter had to get box to take home. Also got fries and they were cooked just right. Wife got hot ham and cheese with cup of creamy potato soup. Ham sandwich different than normal but still got a lot of ham and it had the melted cheese. She also really liked the soup. For appetizers we got fried mushrooms and motzerella cheese sticks. The cheese sticks the kids loved. They were actually juicy inside. The mushrooms were crisp on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. This restaurant was well worth the short detour on our way home from purdue. If anywhere close, please try to go you will not be...
Read moreI've eaten prime rib at some of the best places in New York, Chicago, LA and Dallas. However the King Cut Prime Rib served in this super small town resteraunt is spectacular. I've eaten there four times in the year and it was consistent EVERY time. Definitely a diamond in the rough. We were eating prime rib at Tavern On The Green in Central Park and my friend whom I've taken to Robert's reminded me that he's NEVER had prime rib anywhere that came close to that little resteraunt I treated him to in Indiana. So to sum it up, thank you ALL at Roberts for making me proud to be a Hoosier. Please don't change what's PERFECT and keep it simple. Simply AWESOME as well as your staff. A true pleasure,...
