Sam's Super Burger — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

Sam Super Burger is a local institution. The food is always cooked fresh and to order. REALLY GOOD Shakes too. Unfortunately I went for the last time tonight. We haven't been in a while because the price of food at Sam's has steadily risen for the last few years. But tonight we decided to "splurge" and eat a freshly made Cheeseburger and fresh hot fries. The first thing I noticed was the price had rose to almost $12 plus tax for a Cheeseburger Meal (the #3 Single patty Cheeseburger with fries and a coke). Sam's normally gives a discount for cash instead of using a card. I believe the discount today for two #3's was 75 cents. I'm certain it was nearly $2 before. The next thing I noticed when I got home was the size of the meat patty. No longer was it a large 1/2 patty. Looked like a 1/3 or less pound patty. Two #3's for just short of $25. Plus the shake marching was broken, But that would have added $10 to our meal. Sorry, I work hard and won't be coming back. I always start out with ratings at 5 stars. -1 for $25 for 2 Cheeseburger Meals, -1 for small meat patty, and -1 for the reduced cash discount. -1 star for a broken shake machine. ...

On my off day I would take a ride around random locations on my motorcycle, and stop to do random videos for my channel to admire the scenery like a lake area, beautiful sceneries, and whatever makes me stop to smell the roses. Well, in one of my adventures on my motorcycle I happen to find this nice place, and just stopped in to get a load of their menu items. I walked into the building and was appalled by what I have witnessed. I as a overweight man should have not seen this in a restaurant. One of the customers couldn't finish his Burger! I could understand not finishing up the fries, but come on man it's a burger the main meal, at least get a box to go, but instead He threw away a quarter of it in the trash it's such a shame. That painful ordeal aside I went and order a super triple cheeseburger to go because there was not enough room to sit and that's fine. I tell you straight once I got home and I tore into the super triple cheeseburger. I was in heaven. It was so meaty, so juicy, and all the good fixings on it was spectacular. I have now found my favorite burger joint, and I don't mind the long drive from Mobile...

I’ve read many positive reviews about Sam’s Super Burger and I do love a good burger so I was looking forward to giving them a try. My wife were out and about looking at properties and happened to be driving towards Sam’s when we decided to get a bite to eat. We arrived later in the afternoon and the drive through was busy but only three tables had folks sitting at them. My wife and I ordered at the counter and our food arrived in a timely fashion without issue. While we waited for our food I read a few of the reviews on Sam’s Google site and while they still maintained a good rating I noted that a couple of the reviews claimed that Sam’s was their go to burger place but that the quality of the food had slipped. Perhaps this explains why such a well recommended spot delivered such mediocre food. The burger patty tasted low quality and was over cooked. It wasn’t burned but they cooked all of the flavor out of the patty. In addition, the bacon and the fries were overcooked.
