I was basically invited to eat here by Hank. Or Pard, if you prefer. A very regular customer, someone I've known over 50 years, he has to be a reliable source. He was correct. This restaurant is a great hidden gem. It is a little off the main road and is more of a locals haunt, but the food is really good and the service great. The special of the day was chicken fried steak and it was one of the best I have had. Prices were all reasonable, and portions were very generous. Would go here again next time...

Stopped in over Labor Day weekend. Waited near 2 hours for our food. Ended up leaving with kids hangry. Watched another table get half of their food and 20 minutes later the rest were still waiting.Clearly they were not staffed to accommodate (not even full) and was overwhelmed....
