This has nothing to do with the golf course directly and EVERYTHING to do with the Club 250 Event Center. I purchased VIP tickets for Rock the Ridge the day they went on sale because I wanted to be sure to get the seats I wanted since all other tickets were general admission. I purchased table #6 and table #7 with 4 seats at each for a total of 8 tickets. Both were located on the front right corner of the stage, which is where I wanted to be. I messaged them ahead of the event twice to ensure I was getting the tables I requested and not placed at them randomly. They didn't return my request.
When I arrived there were approximately 15 tables sold instead of the 10 available on the event map. We were told my "table" was on the left side of the stage towards the back. I told them that was impossible and went through the scenario. They again assured me the table, not tables, was on the left side and all tables had names on them. We walked that direction and found a 40" table with my name on it and 8 chairs crammed around it.
As I looked around I noticed the 15 other tables with anywhere from 2 chairs to approximately 14 - with that one being for a party. The tables I had chosen on the map were occupied by other folks. Why the assumption was made I wanted all 8 tickets at one table is beyond me and to have that many around a tiny table is ridiculous.
A lot of lessons learned here. One being the "Very responsive to messages" on FB isn't true, for me, since I never heard back from them either time. Secondly, they are deceptive when it comes to how they handle and honor ticket purchases. Don't post a map to choose your seats and then not give folks the seats they physically chose on the website. And finally, the biggest lesson, don't bother with a place that only cares about taking your money - $143.12 in this case, and not about transparency. If there were changes or misunderstandings they could have been addressed when I contacted them on FB or even walked over to my table when I was messaging them from there (It's not like they didn't know where I was sitting) but they chose not to. In return, here is the review I promised them on my last one sided communication last night. UPDATE...Because of my honesty that they asked for on FB, they blocked me from commenting any further on there and blocked me from messaging them. Thank you for validating my review, Timber Ridge. 2nd UPDATE...They have now blamed the bands for the tables being moved. Apparently, the bands moved the tables to unload equipment. I'm sure they probably did, however, as the event organizers it's your responsiblity to keep things in order. Read moreVery disappointed in this course and it's staff. This was our 3rd year using the BOGO coupon book for this course and each time disappointed. We gave the owner the benefit for the last 2 years since he has been trying to upgrade the course. This year we were looking forward playing thinking that it was ready. Not. There is no GPS. No markers for 200, 150, or 100 yards. No markers for water hazards. When we were checked in the lady never told us the the course had its own app. We made a comment at the turn about the no GPS and that was when we were told about the app but she did not know how to use it. It is not a user friendly app when you are trying to play and not hold up others. Also there were several groups of 5 playing which made the game long. We also noticed kids where riding on the back of the golf carts. Golf carts were not clean either. My husband and I will not be playing...
Read moreEveryone, please beware when you are going to this place to eat. The management and the owners are absolutely terrible. They will all lie to you to get want they want and they truly don't care about your, their service, they only care about the all mighty dollar. To be honest the food is less than desirable, I would recomend you take the extra time to go to Fort Wayne and eat at one of their quality restaurant where you will get better service and better food! To me when I'm spending my money I want to go some where that I can have good food and enjoy my servers. Well, you will not get it here so please go else where when looking for fine dining!
