Waltrip's Corner — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

My wife & I stumbled upon this hidden jem yesterday 8/3/22 about 15 minutes before closing, we weren't going to order anything because it appeared they had already started cleaning the grills etc. The owner informed us it don't matter if its 2 minutes till close they do not mind throwing another patty on the grill. Sooo what else is there to do lol wife and I agreed we will definitely be back...

Way off the beaten path, but so worth the drive. My fresh breaded chicken strips and fresh-cut homemade chips were excellent, my husband's fresh pressed double cheese burger and fresh-cut fries were also delish. So good we forgot to take a pic. By shear chance I stopped by this wonderful little place in the middle of nowhere on the end of a 20 day golfing trip. Had the most amazing ham and bean lunch special. The food and the people are fantastic. The place felt more like a cozy family kitchen for a big family rather than a restaurant. One heart warming experience of my trip.
