We stayed for one night at Foggy Mountain Lodge for a short getaway. The pub was so festive with lights and decorations for the holidays—a very cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. The service from the two waitresses was great. The food was delicious, plentiful and priced more than fairly. We had the nachos, French onion soup, fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken Romano. The drinks were cold, fresh and also priced fairly. We stayed in a basic room at the Pine Lodge. It was a small room with a tv, bed, chair, nightstand, dresser and restroom. The bed was comfortable, the tv had lots of options and there were plenty of drawers for clothes. I wish there would have been a small carpet or area rug at the door to stop dirt and leaves from being drug into the room. I also wish the floor could’ve been cleaned a little better. Also, there needs to be hooks added in the room for coats, towels, etc. The ice machine was located in the Cedar Lodge—the same place as the grab-and-go breakfast in the morning. We slept in past 10, so we didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast items. The Cedar Lodge common area and library/nook was beautiful. Overall it was a great stay and we are planning on going again.

I've been here for the restaurant and the food was great! Service was pretty slow but we were in no hurry and they were busy that evening. Everything we ordered was really good, although our server was really busy, she checked in with us periodically and made sure everyone was taken care of. The prices are very reasonable too! This time I booked a room for a few nights while visiting my son for his graduation. Last time I visited, I stayed at the Ligonier ramada inn and it was awful, smelled bad and it was dirty (and way more expensive). Coming all the way up from Arkansas, this place was a sight for sore eyes. Beautiful views, clean room that smelled good, peaceful, quiet setting away from town. The main lodge/lobby is nice and relaxing, they have a kitchen with an ice machine, cappuccino machine, microwave, fridge and self-serve breakfast. (The room did not have a fridge or microwave but they did supply an ice bucket & ice). It's great that the restaurant is right on the property, don't have far to go to get a good meal. I will never stay anywhere else whenever I come into town to stay!

I used to love going here the handful of times I've gone but this experience ruined it for me. For 18.99 you'd think you'd get more than just a house salad with a few chewy shavings of steak. No fries or beets and I asked for another type of dressing, our server dropped our food and wouldn't check back. Eventually we stopped her and asked if I could get beets for my salad, she barked back saying we're out of beets. I've served, if you're out of something and you apparently know you are why wouldn't you have mentioned it to the guest especially if you serve a beet salad. I could have dealt with the food but the service on top of it was just disappointing. All it takes is to act like you care about your tables.

This was a horrible lodge based on setvice in all but 1area. The only area i rate a 5 out 5 is the chef!!! The best food i ever had!!! Candied bacon left you dreaming of more. And if he does not have what you want he will go through hoops to get it. Amazing. However the management, owners, bartender and various staff that sit around the bar are rude. Check in is confusing and you have to go to the bar to pay for your room. There is NO sign to do so. You just go in because its the only building with cars. None of the guests at oyr function were allowed to have the wifi password. Only it's you rent a room!!!! How embarrassing when a guest needs wifi but management says no because you did not rent a room. Spending money in the restaurant is fine but no wifi for tbem!!! Rude! The sheets had stains, tbe coffee pot in room was dirty!!! No soap in bathroom. No garbage cans we took all trash found to our tiny cans in the rooms. Floors were dirty. No covers encasing the mattress. No coffee in tbe room next to the dirty pot. No instructions on contacting for room service. Snippy responses from management. The housekeepers were kind and helpful. Over the top and soooo respectful. I would NEVER recommend staying here. But the restaurant is priced well...

Just had our wedding at Foggy Mountain, and it was the most beautiful day!!! Karen made wedding planning easy, and everything went off without a hitch. We had our ceremony under the Pavilion, which was the perfect amount of space for a larger group. The reception in Walnut Hall allowed for plenty of space to dance and celebrate. Bartenders and servers were awesome. Food was delicious! They lit a bonfire for us after the reception, so the fun could continue once the reception ended. (A wedding here is very affordable, too!!)

The lodging was also reserved for our party until about month out from our wedding date, so we were able to have our friends and family stay with us throughout the weekend! Chestnut Lodge has the larger suite rooms, and these were the perfect space to get ready for the big day.

The restaurant/bar remained open throughout the weekend, but this let all of our friends and family get to enjoy more time together, and the restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with heaters. Finally, the property and surrounding scenery are just beautiful and well maintained. This lead to some awesome photos.

If you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further than Foggy...
