Gallopin' Goose — Restaurant in Coolidge

Our first visit to Gallopin Goose. Went there after reading good reviews. After seating ourselves we were brought menu's pretty quickly. After a few minutes our food & drink orders were taken. Me a Bud Light draft & her a vodka & Sprite. Beer seemed a bit warm & flat but I was thirsty. Her drink had so much vodka you couldn't taste the Sprite. Between the two of us we couldn't finish it. Food arrived quickly & hot. Me the green chili swiss burger with onion rings & her chicken bites with a basket of seasoned fries. The top bun on my burger was a bit soggy but other than that everything was great! High marks for the food. Service is another story. After bringing our food we never saw our server again. We could have walked out & no one would have known. Went up to the bar to get our check. Bartender asked where we were sitting. I pointed at our booth & returned to it. She printed our check & just left it on the bar. Never let us know it was ready. If we are in the area again we will give them a try. The food was...

Went in to grab a bite and a couple beers. Asked for a bud light draft, bar tender replied with "were not doing draft today" so I said alright whatever and got 2 bottles. Asked for a menu and she said the kitchen was closed (9:04 pm) so I told her I had litteraly called 20 minutes before and they said I could get fried food. That's when she got an attitude. Decided not to get any food. Her and the other bar tender switched places so she didn't have to serve me. Every time she came out of the back room she glared at me with a pissy face. (The girl with red hair) after that my wife said the other one kept giving me dirty looks. I for one will NEVER go back here. I don't know what happened to the place but it used to be good. Now the staff is very rude and impatient. I will be sure to not recommend this...

The service was AWFUL! We stopped in around 4 p.m. on a Sunday and the place was dead yet the 2 servers and bartender still could not manage to get drinks/food out in a timely manner. I had to go inside & request to have our server sent back to our table & that took 15 minutes. Ordered more drinks and only got part of the order, the waitress didn't come back for another 20 minutes only to be reminded about the missing item which took another several minutes to receive. Once we were ready to leave we asked for the check and after a ridiculous amount of time wound up going inside to the bar to cash out. It's a shame because the outdoor area was great and could've become a regular stop on our rides...
