Too much food! (Is there such a thing?) But seriously, I stopped for lunch because I had better ratings than most every other place in the area just off the highway. I barely made a dent in the amount of food I received, and I was hungry! The chicken lo mein was very good. The chicken was tender, and the lo mein was perfectly sweetened. The fried rice was amazing, even without soy sauce! It had pork, onions, and celery in it as well. The crab rangoon that came with my meal was delightful! If I ever come, I will get an order for that by itself! When I came to write a review, I was shocked at what some of the others had to say. Maybe it depends on the cook? As for the insects in the food claimed by another reviewer, that seriously looked like a fly that had not been cooked in the food, but likely killed by the customer, and it fell into their food. So sad that they had to take it out on a restaurant when they were disappointed...
Read moreFor years and years, this place used to be the best Chinese restaurant nearby. However, sometime in between covid and now, the quality of the food seems to have gone down. I've recently discovered that they do not include sauce on their moo goo gai pan. You have to ask for that separately, and it costs $1 per container extra. What is up with that?! Their dinner combo comes with fried rice and an egg roll, but what I learned tonight is that the egg roll that is offered with a combo only has cabbage inside. Just cabbage. Willing to pay extra, I asked if we could substitute with a different kind of egg roll, but pork was not an option, per the chef. The food still tasted good, but I don't know why the restaurant seems to be cutting corners. It doesn't make me want to go back there anytime soon, which is a pity, because it used to...
Read moreBe VERY leery of this restaurant. We placed an order with their online system - the receipt from that was emailed and you pay at the store. When my spouse picked it up, he didn't think twice but the owner had charged over $11 extra - even above their in store menu prices. When we called, presuming it was a simple mistake, the owner apologized and offered a credit for a future purchase - we requested he just reimburse the over charge. Owner stated he would, told us it was all done electronically and that he didn't while we were on the phone... This obviously never happened and we have since had to dispute it with the bank. In addition, for some reason the teriyaki chicken had no seasoning at all and the food was...
