The Dinner Bell Steak & Fish — Restaurant in Corinth

This place really gets to me...Me and my mother used to eat there 3 to 4 times a week...Not because of service for sure...Not because the food was great for damn sure...but mostly because it very close to my house and fairly reasonable prices...I am a diabetic...try to eat salads and grilled chicken a lot...Here they get about 7 bucks for one trip to the little salad bar and a little chicken breast...about 4 or 5 months ago a new little waitress waited on me..I ordered the usual...get up go to the salad bar as usual and do my regular thing..got a tiny strafoam cup of carrot salad and went back to the table...nibbled around on it until they brought out the chicken...then I went to the salad bar with the bowl they bring and got my little salad...I saw this goofey waitress watching me and peeping at me..just thought she was a nut or something...When I got the bill..she charged me with two salads..I asked her why..she said because I went up there 2 times..I tried to explain that I only got a tiny bit of carrot salad separate at first because I didnt want the liquid all over my salad...useless.. so I said something when I went to pay...Said they had to take her word..she told them I got one salad and another to go....I asked the idiot at the register where the hell the to go one was at..He again said he had to take her word...Swore I would never go back.......A week or so later one of the old waitresses saw me and asked where I had been..I told the story and what happened....She said the waitress had quit and they missed my business...I said OK ..Ill start coming back..When I went in the mgr..apoligized and offered to give me my food that night...I declined and just laughed about it....Then about the same thing happened again but one of the old waitresses grabbed the ticket and changed it and explained that the tiny cup was not to be charged extra for...Tonight I got the only waitress there that I really dont like...She is slow .dont pay attention to her tables and just disappears for long times and has a chip on her shoulder....Tonight I sit and sit over 15 min. before she even saw me..and then only because one of the others got on her and told her to wait on me....She charged me for an all you can eat salad because I used a small glass bowl instead of a wooden bowl she had brought to the table after I had already gone to the salad bar...I was informed by the management that had I used the wooden bowl to put my salad in and then dumped it in the glass bowl..I would not have been charged for unlimited trips to the salad bar even though I only went the one time as I have been told to do by the other waitresses because I dont like wooden bowls..smell of them sometime....They wont have to worry about me ever sitting my azz down in their little...

Great food, good service. We usually go for lunch. The Friday plate lunch is the best! The dressing and sweet potatoes are some of the best I've ever had! We go about once a month, sometimes twice. We've only had one bad experience and they made it right. My husband ordered a chicken strip plate and i had gotten chicken livers. The waitress we had was a younger girl, she set our plates down and walked off. My livers were hard, burnt. My husband was enjoying his and they were really busy so I didn't say anything. I just ate around them. My husband ask me why I didn't eat the livers, weren't they good? (Because they're usually amazing). I told him they were a little hard, he took one and tried to eat it. The older blond waitress (think she may be the manager, owner, or something ( stopped and ask us how everything was. My husband told her about the livers, she said she wished I'd have let them know and they'd have gotten me another plate, I told her it was OK but she insisted they would get me another plate. I told her no it was OK so they took my plate off the ticket. Never had anorher bad meal there. I appreciate that they made it right, they were so busy I never would have said anything. And really this is the ONLY bad meal I've had there. Service is always good. ...

I was in town for the weekend and ate here after my step mom's funeral. It took a long time for the food to come out and when it did, the baked potatoes and fries were cold. Some sent their potatoes back to be reheated and others just let them know theirs was cold and they didn't want them. The waitress then came back with a plate for them to scoop the unwanted food onto. I have NEVER visited a restaurant that made the person scoop the unwanted food onto a plate to ensure they didn't eat it. They also forgot to bring out an order of shrimp and finally brought it when the person had practically finished eating their meal. The waitress had a very nasty attitude. So much so that another waitress took over and you could tell she was over compensating to counter the horrible service from the previous waitress. Typically, the situation would have been handled by a manager coming over to talk to the patrons and to offer another item or remove the charge of the unwanted items. It was clear that the food was cold because the butter wouldn't even melt on the baked potatoes. This was a horrible experience on top of an already...
