Location, location, location! The name says it all. This was a nice place to eat. It was so close to being a 5 star rating but there were a few small things that I couldn’t overlook to give it that. But first, I enjoy trying new places. This one caught my attention because it is right by the landing strip of this small airport. The day we went was a midweek morning and it was unusually busy. We noticed the waitress was doing her best but she was busy. She was still friendly and courteous when it was our turn. The menu had a lot to offer! I went with the spicy omelette and that did not disappoint! Very flavorful and not over the top with heat. You must get the homemade salsa though- that made the meal even better. It was delicious and spicy and fresh!! The home style potatoes were good, but came out a bit cool and needed salt. That was a small thing but noticeable. The coffee comes not in a cup but a mug and it was great. Not sure what brand they use but this was quality and tasty. There is plenty of parking and you can watch planes land and take off right from the parking lot. The atmosphere and location were great, the service just a bit slow (maybe because of usually busy) food large portions and very good. The prices were great. I’ll go back as the menu and overall impression I was left with were...

Ordered the steak sandwich, menu stated pepperjack cheese, came with provolone or Swiss instead? Wasn't told they didn't have pepperjack... also the steak itself (besides being a cheap cut, very tough and hard to bite through) was completely unseasoned, and I'm not exaggerating, I literally flipped it open and tried the steak by itself and it tasted like it was defrosted and fried with half a gallon of canola oil and not a single spec of salt or pepper. My fiance ordered the breakfast quesadilla and the eggs were overcooked, the cheese tasted microwaved, the bell peppers/onions were undercooked, and the tortilla holding it together was bland. My mother in law ordered the patty melt with chips, the chips were unsalted. Our fries were unsalted... The only good thing we had was the mimosa flight. The regular mimosa was a bit lame, but the flavored ones were excellent.

Long story short, if you come here to catch a buzz on flavored mimosas, you're in for a treat, but if you want to eat, be prepared to pay a premium for less than...

The Corona Airport Cafe seemed like a good idea at the time, but it underwhelmed on a number of dimensions:

Service was slow. There was a sign noting they were understaffed, but the place wasn't busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff around for the amount of patrons. The food wasn't that good. It was perfectly passable, but easily could have been better. Our table had a variety of dishes ranging from omelets to salads to pancakes, and they were all "fine". The salad could have used more vegetables, and the dressing more flavor. The omelet was bland. While there's a lot of outdoor seating, it has a great view of the adjacent parking lot. You can't see the airport operations. Total missed opportunity to watch the planes landing or taking off.

On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, and the place is very dog friendly. While we were there there were multiple dogs to watch, and they even serve a "doggy meal" of chicken and rice for furry...
