Cute little cafe right on RT 54, easy to park our coach along the road. Busy Sunday morning when we walked in but almost immediately it thinned out with only two other tables occupied. But yet we waited seemed a long time to get our meals (bacon, eggs, oatmeal etc). There was lots of talking in the kitchen but I guess not much work, it shouldn't have taken that long for our simple orders when there were only two other tables occupied and they had already eaten. The bowl of oatmeal was HUGE, but she said kinda soupy. My scrambled eggs were a little burnt but I ate them anyway. Hash browns were nothing special. My bacon was crispy as I asked. All in all it was nothing special, but it was edible. Don't go out of your way to get breakfast there. Maybe they're known for their Mexican dishes. Oh yes, our toast was burnt too.

Stopped in around 12:30p hoping for breakfast, but disappointed when we had to order from the lunch menu. Both breakfast and lunch menus are limited, so we assumed it wasn’t going to be what we needed…a good meal while traveling. Boy were we wrong! We “settled” on the chicken tender basket w/frys for the little one, and the combination platter, w/relleno and green sauce for both adults. It was SO good! The fry’s and chicken were also very good! Christine, the only waitress serving, seemed a bit standoffish at first, but then warmed up to be extremely friendly and efficient! We could then tell her initial demeanor was due to focusing on the lunch rush! We will be stopping here again on our way back through!! Cash ONLY, so bring enough for tip!

If you're traveling through Corona, NM, and need to take a break from the long open roads, El Corral Café is the place to stop. Cristina is the hostess, cashier, busser, you name it! She's part of the family business, and it shows. She's got a very positive personality and is friendly to everyone who walks thru the front door. I stopped here 2 days in a row because of work. The food was made fresh and worth every penny. The first day, I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and was not disappointed. The next day, I ordered the NM steak w/ fries, smothered with red chile, and that was even better. El Corral Café gets 5 stars from me for their great food and excellent customer service I would recommend them to anyone who's traveling thru Corona.
