This was my first time visiting the Smokey Chicken. I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for. So for 2 people, 2 alcoholic drinks one was a beer and the other a long island and 2 meals under $60 you would think it wouldn't be that good right? Welp this is the first time I really felt like I got a great deal for the money!! Everything was fantastic!! The long island was strong and tasty and the food was hot with lots of flavor! I ordered the Smokey Rooster combo I think it's called, I got the rotisserie chicken and the honey bbq strips. The rotisserie chicken was like nothing I've ever tasted before, the skin was crispy and flavorful and the meat was juicy and also had lots of flavor and for any of us who has actually cooked chicken you know it's hard to get that flavor past the skin lol. The strips though, weren't super great, it seemed like there was a little more batter than chicken but the sauce was really good. The fries were hot and crispy.
I will definitely be back! Great service, great food at a fantastic price! You won't regret trying it out!!
FYI on the front of the menu they mention a price increase, I don't know how another review said her meal was increased by $3 but for us it was only like .25-.30. Not a huge deal. However they do charge a fee if you use a card so try and...
Read moreOur lunch group that meets every Tuesday at a different restaurant chose this establishment. The staff hosting were wonderful but it went downhill from there. Our waitress was a young blonde who tried really hard but as typical of some of the young folks nowadays has poor listening skills and seemed unfamiliar with the menu. Most of us had looked at the menu online and were then told there were no soup/sandwich specials. Then that there was soup but it wouldn't be ready for 30-35 minutes and it was unclear what kind it would be. Odd that it wouldn't be ready by 11:45 am. When the food came, the quality was mediocre to poor at best. My boyfriend ordered steak fingers and got chicken fried steak. My grilled salmon tasted like microwaved frozen and the rice with it was bland. My side of deep fried okra was the only good thing on the plate. Another friend ordered rotisserie chicken. It was a half but it was dry even the dark meat. You might do OK at this place if you're just here to drink and eat appetizers. Otherwise, you're probably in for a disappointment. The Manager was less than helpful in her explanation and demonstrated poor ability to meet customer needs. Because there were 9 of us, there was a nuisance charge added...
Read moreLet me start by saying they have the best Sweet Potato Waffle Fries in town.
The food was delicious 😋 Hubby and I went for dinner. We wanted to try something new, and he had heard about this place. We both had the tender combo; hubby had honey BBQ, and I had medium roasted garlic. The tenders were cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The honey BBQ sauce had a great flavor - sweet with very mild spicy - it was a great balance of flavor. The medium roasted garlic was to die for - it was the best sauce I have had on tenders or wings in a while, but it does have a kick - more than I thought it would. 😋
The restaurant was clean. Decorated like a sports bar. It was kid friendly, but we were there between 5pm and 6pm. I am not sure how it would be later or even it it is allowed after a certain time. It was a little warm in there, but not terribly uncomfortable.
Parking is plentiful and easy to get in and out of.
Service was somewhat disappointing. They server was not attentive and difficult to get a hold of. It could have been better. With that being said, the server was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful when we did get...
