Carbone's Kitchen & Pub — Restaurant in Cottage Grove

THIS IS NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE!

I had some of my family visit over the weekend and we decided to go out for pizza. We have had take out pizza many times and were happy with the result. We had a family reunion in the party room some years ago and were happy with that. THINGS HAVE CHANGED HERE!

After waiting a normal amount of time, our pizzas arrived at our table. The waiter asked if we needed anything else. We said plates and silverware would be nice. He brought a stack of plates and forks, and 2 knives, and dropped them on the end of the table. He ran by asking if we needed anything a couple of times, never asking if we needed refills, we had to "catch" him on the run to ask for a refill. Fountain drinks here are just under $4.00 each. We had 2 small children with us that asked for milk. We were charged $4.5 for each of their plastic cups of milk. A gallon of milk is less than $4.00! After we finished eating, we couldn't find our waiter. I finally spotted him and asked for our check.

THEY CHARGED A PROCESSING FEE! This was the ultimate insult to which says to me that they do not value customers.

The food was mediocre. The pizza was somewhat bland. It was always better in the past. Have they lost the original recipe? It seems like Carbone's is no more than a bar. There were very few families eating there.

With the new PIZZA RANCH opening up soon, they will have more competition. The best choice in Cottage Grove now is JUNCTION 70. They are family friendly and the food is always great! We won't make this...

First time posting, but figured this was the place.

Ordered pizzas from Cottage Grove Carbone’s tonight. Digging into our pizza we quickly discovered small rocks inside the pizza. Luckily our teeth weren’t chipped. Looking in the box we found small rocks, almost like gravel, under the pizza attached to the crust inside of the box.

We called Carbone’s and was met with an inconvenienced attitude, put on hold multiple times, and offered a free pizza only available to be within the next two weeks. All summed up to “a messed up order.” A messed up order is getting ingredients wrong, or the wrong pizza type...but rocks in your pizza? They were quick to rush me off the phone after that.

This is how something like this is handled? How did rocks even get into the pizza to begin with? And then to act like we inconvenienced them and tell us we had two weeks to order a pizza from them as our option, then rush me off the phone? Why would we order from there again?

Not only that, but when I called initially I offered to pick up to avoid a large wait time. They indicated it was dead and would be 45 minutes and the driver was “waiting for something to do”. An hour and forty minutes later it arrived.

I have dined at carbones CG and ordered delivery from Woodbury several times ! Tonite around 7 we arrived a party of 5 , 3 adults We were greeted and seated and NEVER approached again for 20 mins. ( we saw some friends that were there and began to converse with them which ,helped make the time go by without as much notice of how long it was ) and sad to say they weren’t serviced during that whole time but had their food which was a distraction for them . I wanted to and was ready to leave but because it was late, my daughter insisted we stay and order the kids dinner right away. EVERYTHING SUCKED , THE FOOD , THE SERVICE , the kids got their food (which we had ordered right away and asked the server to put in with a beverage order and we would order after ) . We got our beverages again after an extremely long wait and the order was wrong . And then our food came Before the kids !!! An employee there commented that they were short staffed . I am so disappointed and will be hard pressed to return !!! Word of mouth is very affective advertising and I am here to tell you I will be spreading the word to stay away .
