This is a hidden gem. When you pull into the parking lot you realize this is something special. The clubhouse is beautiful and very inviting. The putting green is right next to the clubhouse headed over towards the first tee box. The driving range is exceptionally nice and easy to access right outside of the clubhouse itself. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. These people are the real deal. And then you hit the course. The fairways are beautiful and the sand traps are very well manicured. Lots of trees and several holes with water make this a very fun and challenging yet fair course. The greens are beautiful and fast… But very very fair. This is an easy walking course and yet there is lots of topography changes to view and participate in. I just love this course and I love the people. The holes are very unique and you have to think about your shot off the Teebox on most of these. There are several risk/reward holes that are really really fun. At the end of the round, the clubhouse is really awesome. I am a wings connoisseur and these are some of the best I have had in the Twin Cities! You can sit out on the beautiful patio which overlooks the driving range and you can see the number one Teebox and the number 18 green. We recently had our wedding at River Oaks Golf Course, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! The venue is absolutely stunning, especially with the new renovations that give it such a fresh, modern look. The entire property was immaculate, from the pristine golf course to the beautifully maintained outdoor areas.
The staff at River Oaks were nothing short of professional and accommodating. From start to finish, they made the entire planning process so smooth and stress-free. On the day of the event, everything was handled with the utmost care, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day. The bar setup was fantastic—perfectly laid out with plenty of space for all of our guests to mingle and enjoy themselves.
One of the highlights for us was the outdoor area, which featured cozy fire pits and offered so many perfect spots for photos. Our guests loved the atmosphere, and it provided a beautiful backdrop for our memories.
And the food—wow! It was truly next level. We had high expectations, but the team at River Oaks exceeded them in every way. The quality, presentation, and taste were all incredible, and our guests are still raving about how great everything was.

Great course! Grumpy marshall. Not sure why you're doing the job if you hate it so much. Told us we were all gonna "mess up our putts" as we approached the green (wow stellar energy injected!)and then watched us all putt, specifically waited for our lone female in the group (who was putting for birdie) and gunned his cart as she began her stroke. (She still made par).
But how do you know he did it intentionally? One might ask
Well he didn't even drive away. Gunned it as she attempted her birdie putt drove 10 feet. Then waited for us to get back to our carts to remind us again that we are unable to read the green.
We also stopped to get one soda, one hot dog at the turn and he finger wagged us at hole 10 for slowing play when we literally never lost the group in front of us once the entire day

Seriously such a good course, conditions are primo, interesting holes with options to play aggressively and cut interesting lines or play it safe.
I will always get this course into my schedule once a year. Grumpy marshalls be damned! (Seriously dude just retire if you want to antagonize people who spent hard earned cash at your course.)
