Not a fish eating person, do not really care for it. However my wife does so every so often we go out to eat, not usually an all fish-type restaurant like this establishment. I found that everything was fried, so if you are trying to avoid greasy food, then I wouldn't suggest this place. I ordered the jumbo shrimp plate with two sides. The shrimp were over fried, salty, and overly crispy in my opinion. The two sides, coleslaw and baked beans, both were put into to-go plastic cups, and the size of possibly two (2) spoons worth. The same for the baked beans, small portion and designed to make you feel like you should have gotten your food to-go. They only have one size drink cup, so if your thirsty remember... Refills! Our waitress/hostess was nice and courteous. The restaurant was also clean and well lit. They had a pretty neat idea on decorating the establishment, they used one dollar bills as wallpaper. With some being signed by friends, family, and possibly autographed by famous people who have stoped in for an order (though honestly I didn't look to closely at the dollars).
OVERALL OPINION: Food: Small portions, over cooked, salty and a little dried out for my tastes. Employees: Clean, courteous, quick at seating, and taking care of customers. Verified each of our orders. Returned several times for drink refills and/or requests for other condiments, ie ketchup. Restaurant: "Front-Side of the House" (Lobby Area) was clean and well kept. Had a couple flies flying around due to front door opening and closing (not establishment's fault in my opinion). "Back-Side of the House" (Kitchen Area) of the business looked to be clean, though the swinging doors blocked my view mostly. Restrooms: (Men's Room) Clean, No Noticeable Noxious Odors, Stocked Up, Swept and Moped. (Women's Room) Trash was full, No Noticeable Noxious Odors, Paper Products were Full, Needed the Floors Cleaned.. Outside: Parking Lot: Clean of Most Trash and Refuse. Well Marked Parking Spaces, Easy to Find Handicapped Parking Spot, Plenty of Regular Parking Spots. Windows: Clean Signage: Well Lit, Easy to Read, Not Damaged. Hours of Operation Easily Find on Front Door, with a Paper Notice of...

I do like the layout, I go down to Florida a couple of times a year and this place is very much reminds me of some of the spots you might find down south along the Gulf.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
I feel bad for not knowing about this place as it's been here 19 years, and is family owned..
Originally, I was going to have a taco or walleye dinner, then swap sides for Okra, I love perfectly cooked okra, sadly, I've only found one place within about 60 Mi of here that can do it right, sadly, that us not an option. I would suggest offering a side options with okra, hush puppies, mac and cheese...
If the walleye is good then I will come back and try the okra and update my review. But since it is just me this evening I am only going to be sampling the walleye itself.
The walleye only comes fried (breaded) and the portion is generous. I ordered the regular, came with four strips. Portion size is good, but these would be more of a walleye finger, vs fillet, and that is ok..
This is perfectly done, flaky, moist, excellent flavor. The breading is perfectly done there's no doughy-ness. The tail quickly tapers into being more breading than meat, one larger fillet would be more preferable,
I suspected, and they confirmed, the tartar sauce is store bought. It's fine though..
Overall, it is a good dish... As far as rating. The fish was delicious my only issue and again it is strictly a preference, is that I would like there to be more meat, more fillet than finger. Most people ordering this for the first time would expect a breaded fillet so because of that I'm going to give it 4/5
The service and the atmosphere were great, and if you are like me and you travel to do food reviews or if you just like to travel, and you have found yourself down south at a Fish Shack in the past, this place will be kind of nostalgic, and that is awesome. 5/5.
Overall I'm going to give it...
Read moreMy own personal experience at MoFish .The catfish was good but you only get one whole catfish for $17.99 .on the website it says 2 pieces of catfish for $17.99 but they only give you one whole catfish. The baked beans were store brought van de camps can pork & beans and the coleslaw & cocktail sauce were store brought from Walmart and not their own home recipe. We brought 2 jumbo shrimp dinners and one whole catfish dinner and they only gave us one tiny tarter sauce for three dinners and told us we can buy another tarter sauce for .60 cents. I will never order anything from here again. These 3 orders came to $49plus tax and we didn't get our money worth. The sides came out of Walmart and they should have came up with their own recipes instead of going to Walmart. Could not even get full off of it.l don't recommend anyone to eat here. Oh yeah, and they take cash only no credit cards. They got ATM sitting by register to withdraw cash for your order. You should check with your employees because all the sides taste like walmart food. This was my first time trying this restaurant. I'm from out of town and was not treated with respect and yes l know what I'm talking about Mr.Owner.l would prefer to get some of my money back because the sides were horrible. Is this how out of town guess supposed to be treated if you came to my town l would treat you with the...
