Oh my! I’ve eaten at The York Chop many times and each time they never fail to amaze me! I scroll through these reviews and some are just absolutely terrible and INCORRECT!! I see many “over priced” and “under cooked” I must say that the prices are VERY reasonable for the quality and amount of food that they serve. Also, under cooked?? I was staying at Midway RV park and have been going to Natchitouches, but I wanted a change of scenery and took 71 on the way to Bossier City. I got very hungry and decided to stop in a tiny town of Coushatta Louisiana. I saw this place and was hungry for BBQ so I stopped here to eat. I bought me a full rack of ribs and to be honest, this is the best Texas style BBQ that I have eaten in the State of Louisiana. The service was wonderful and the place is spotless. I'd say it's mediocre. I got a two meat with brisket and pork. The brisket had great flavor but it was very dry. The pulled pork was good. My sides were coleslaw and potato salad. The sides came in those small sauce containers so they give you about two bites. For the two meats and the four bites of the sides was $20. I'd say that's a bit overpriced, but each to their own.
