I am astounded at the experience I just had at this restaurant. I was very excited to bring my grandparents here for dinner we order takeout frequently and I love the food. We went in and it was decently busy but not packed. We were informed there was no wait and directed to a table. We sat down there were menus and someone brought us over silverware. We had our 2 kids with us and my 90 year old grandparents. We waited and waited and waited. Not one person came by or addressed us beyond giving us silverware. Another couple came and sat down and ordered and got drinks and I thought maybe a fluke and waited. Finally after over 30 minutes and another family coming in getting seated and having their orders taken we got up and left. My grandmother very upset went to the bartender to let her know we were upset and why we were leaving. We proceeded to recieve the most insulting apology from one of the waitresses who ignored us several times. The part that upset me the most was it was obviously an uncomfortable situation and the waitress had to throw a final jab of "I hope you ladies have a Happy Holidays" in the rudest way I've ever heard that phrase uttered. I could not imagine talking to another person the way were were talked to. I genuinely felt like I was living through a What Would You Do episode because I didn't think people really acted the way the staff acted towards us. I know some people will probably assume we must have said some things to deserve this sort of treatment but please remember we are so non-confrontational we sat for over 30 minutes without speaking up because we didn't want to be a bother. Honestly another patron at the bar who overheard everything gave us a more sincere and genuine apology than any of the staff that talked to us. I won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointed again. I don't think I'll be using Dimitri's going forward because I've never been wholly pleased with my experience.
This evening I ordered a few grinders and chicken tenders with sweet fries.
With my chicken tender order, I received 3 skinny/skimpy chicken tenders. They were only slightly thicker than their skinny fries. Only THREE provided with their small size. This is a disappointment and the owner should be embarrassed. I ordered honey for dipping with this, which I discussed with the man on the phone and he repeated it back at the end. I opened the box to see honey mustard, which I specifically told him NO honey mustard - just plain honey, which he told me they had. I just had a major surgery and can hardly walk and here I am having to hunt down a bottle of honey, because what I ordered and paid for - to make this time thaf I am healing easier for myself - I did not receive.
With the chicken tender order came plain fries automatically, so my sweet fry order was separate; it was just an extra order of fries. Instead, the sweet potato fries were inside the box with the chicken tenders, and the order of fries was combined into a single box (there was a separate fry order because my son wanted an order of fries with his grinder). Why two separate fry orders would be combined into a single box I will never understand. It caused confusion as we automatically thought a fry order was missing. I should state that I am ASSUMING there were 2 fry orders in one box because the box was a decent size.
I have been told the grinders were fine. I guess I should have just ordered a grinder for myself. Noted, though I won't be back because at this point I feel like I've wasted my money on far too many occasions ordering...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst please let me say I have been in the service industry for over 20 years and will let a lot slide but my experience tonight was absolutely horrible. The restaurant was very busy, both tables inside/outside, and the bar. The servers were short staffed but running around trying to accommodate everyone and doing a very good job working with the staff they had.
My problem............ the very disrespectful rude dinging bell coming from the kitchen. Being seated in the restaurant you can hear the kitchen bell when food is ready. Which is to be expected. But whomever was in the kitchen mashing on the bell repeatedly while the staff was trying to manage the busy front of house was not only rude but very distasteful. The fact that you can hear it through the entire restaurant being slammed on hundreds of times in a rude manner is unprofessional and concerning for how those servers are treated. A single ring does the trick to alert the server that food is up. There is no reason I as a patron or anyone else should have to be subjected to this type of noise. All well trying to eat my dinner. Let me be clear it was over and over being slammed on every 3 minutes. Extremely disrespectful.
We all get busy in the restaurant industry, we all get frustrated, but I will never step foot in the doors of this restaurant ever again due to the lack of respect for the front of the house staff.
Your cooks need to learn a thing or two about how to conduct themselves when busy and not effect the staff and...
