Leslie's Sweet Nostalgia — Restaurant in Crab Orchard

My sister and I was so excited to find a bakery but that was short live. As we entered the bakery the lady was yelling, I thought she was hard of hearing and talking super loud. The lady explained that she was running behind on her orders. She was extremely upset and mad at herself and proceeded to take it out on my sister when she was asking about the cakes and pies. ( we are not bakers). I was scared for my grandson and our safety. So in a manner not to alarm my grandson that I was scared I got him out of the bakery as soon as possible. I knew as long as I did not react to her hate and anger he would be okay.

However, she was verbally attacking my sister and my sister said it's everything she could do to hold back the tears. I have never seen a woman act this bad EVER.

It mess up the rest of our day. I would hate to be her husband, if she has one.

The above is my opinion based on my visit to this bakery.

We all go through stuff in life but how we treat each other is very important and I want you to know that I forgive you for the way...

Hubby is borderline diabetic so we made some diet changes and this place is Gluten Free with sugar alternatives. My husband is not even close to a picky eater, daughter follows, rounded out by me, picky eater. I picked up a variety cookie box and daughter wanted a cake. I don't know what the sweetener is but my husband didn't like it at all. Everything ended up in the garbage. I'm giving it 3 stars for 1. The owner is the sweetest lady! 2. The shop is adorable, she creates beautiful looking baked goods, plenty of parking. 3. The cutest dog with a hole his height in the fence so he can stick his head out to get a good ear scratching by...

Absolutely amazing! The baker is super friendly. The prices are amazing, even compared to a gluten-y bakery. And the best part is you can't tell the products are gluten and dairy free! I drove an hour and a half to get there, and it was so worth it even with gas at 4.50. Definitely recommend!

Positive Edit: went back after I went through my last haul. More than 6 months later the lemon bars and German chocolate cake still tasted fresh out of the freezer. And she remembered me even though I'd only been once before...
