Went in on Saturday, June 22nd, for a relaxing dinner with my husband — I wanted something different from the usual, and let me just say… I’m so glad we chose this place! 🙌💯

There was no wait when we arrived, and we were immediately greeted by the sweetest hostess, Camila 😊. Her warm smile and kind energy honestly set the tone for the night. Never underestimate how much a genuinely nice welcome can uplift your mood! 💛

Our server, Sherry, was just as lovely — super attentive and quick to take our drink orders 🍹. She brought out a basket of hush puppies and OMG — I am absolutely in love. These were hands down the best hush puppies I’ve had in the area — crispy outside, soft inside, and full of flavor. I could’ve eaten a whole tray!

Once I asked for a drink recommendation, Sherry didn’t hesitate to help. My husband noticed they had lobster tails 🦞 on the menu, and you know I had to go for it. I ordered the lobster tail meal with a baked sweet potato 🍠 on the side. My husband chose the Amberjack cheeseburger 🍔 with a side of mac & cheese 🧀.

While we waited for our entrées, I hit up the salad bar 🥗, which was fresh and well-kept. The veggies looked bright and crisp — no wilted greens here! 🌿

When our food came out, I was truly excited — my lobster tail was beautifully plated with thoughtful garnishes, but the real magic started the second I took a bite 😍. The flavor was chef’s kiss 🤌— perfectly seasoned, with just the right hint of lemon 🍋 and a buttery finish. I didn’t even have to reach for extra butter — it was already that good. Later, when I spoke to the owner, I found out the secret was something called Jimmy’s seasoning, and trust me, it works!

My husband really enjoyed his burger — cooked perfectly and full of flavor. He even let me try his mac & cheese, and let me tell you… creamy, cheesy, and straight-up comfort food heaven. 😋

My only minor critique: the antipasta salad from the salad bar wasn’t quite up to par. The pasta was a bit overcooked and lacked the zesty vinaigrette flavor I usually look for. But hey, if that’s the only thing I could point out, you know the rest of the experience was top-tier!

Before we left, I asked Camila if I could speak with the owner, and she kindly introduced me to Corona (that’s what the regulars call him). This man is clearly passionate about what he does. We chatted about the food, and I even mentioned how I regretted not coming in sooner — this place had been sitting on my “Want to go” list for way too long! Corona was genuinely open to feedback, even apologizing for the salad bar issue and thanking me for pointing it out. His love for the restaurant shines through, and it makes a world of difference knowing that the owner personally cooks the lobster tails to ensure perfection. ❤️

All in all, this spot is perfect whether you’re grabbing a meal with the family or looking for a sweet date night. The décor is welcoming, and the ambiance matches the menu beautifully. ✨

Oh, and one last thing… I brought home some extra hush puppies and reheated them the next morning. They paired so well with my coffee ☕ that I’m honestly dreaming about going back for more. 🤤

Highly...

This place is a HUGE pass! Shocked that it's considered good by anyone who eats food... So here goes our experience... Parking is a pain!! Wait staff couldn't identify or didn't know what was on the hot bar. Took my grandson to the bathroom (which were on the nasty side, most with no locks on the doors) and actually walked past boxes of booze stored in the hallway and some even in a tall locked cabinet. First time here and not at all what we expected. The ranch salad dressing was dyed GREEN. When asked why we were told to separate it from the Bleu Cheese. Ok.... BUT they were both clearly labeled on the salad bar yet the food on the hot bar was not. This place may have a better menu during the week but the Sunday buffet was just gross. As stated, everything was fried or swimming in grease. There was fried squash, fried okra, fried, very greasy chicken, fried chicken livers, fried trout, no other varieties of fish were available and the trout was thin, over cooked and chewy. Hamburger in gravy, I think? Mashed potatoes were bland and chunky. Rice had onion in it yet wasn't a pilaf. The greens were swimming in what looked like fat back or bacon grease. There was another vegetable that was unknown, creamed corn and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese had melted cheese on the top but was very dry underneath. The salad bar was OK, but the potato salad looked to be almost pureed and that GREEN RANCH DRESSING! GAG! My grandsons love ranch but said it tasted as weird as it looked. We thought Golden Corral was gross and someone was always sick after eating there but this place is our new number one restaurant in Gaston County NC to get the GAG Award! And let me follow up with the dessert... lol... lol... I heard another customer ask what desserts they had and when I asked the waitress she named out banana pudding, cherry cobbler, peach cobbler, vanilla cake and a few more, soooo,... we all thought surely dessert would be better, (most of us picked through the food or only ate salad) but.... out the 'dessert' came in these little testing cups about the size that you'd get a side of ketchup in at most restaurants. Laughable and the dessert was nasty too... cobbler almost on the burnt side. See pics. And the tables, where we sat, were covered in heavy black debossed plastic (that could never be properly cleaned) and tucked in at the corners and was nailed/stapled under the tables?? I seriously wonder how this place gets by without a shutdown from the health dept. And I also wonder why ANYONE would ever go back for a...

UPDATEFor your safety you might better avoid this establishment. On the road alot so it took me 3 wks to get back here. Showed my receipt about the $3 dollar overcharge. Was told that since i didn't take the time out of my day to call snd tell them about THEIR mistake beforeIcame in, that i was denied the $3 they overcharged. Told her i shouldn't have paid at all. Something was strange about the steak. But their greed denied correcting thier mistake. Also you might want to look.. there is a 3x5 card about 20 feet from the register alerting you that they are adding on another charge for using your credit card. UNBELIEVABLE!! Almost 90 cents per person for a normal meal. So a family of 4 expect a least a $4 dollar charge for using your credit card. **Upon further investigation concerning lab grown meat, you may want to avoid it here all together. It seems the US is allowing it in our country and I'm sure that's what was served to me. Not saying that as fact, but it wasn't a normal steak. But along with the greed and total disregard for correcting mistakes against customers I'd bet my life on it!!The greed here is unbelievable!!! Another place that needs to shut it's doors. If they weren't surrounded by neighborhoods this place would have already shut it's doors! Just keep in mind...If you eat a sreak here...well, may God be with you!!! Came for fish, but heading in I saw NY Strip $16.99. Decided to go with that since I didn't have ketchup with me. Love ketchup with fish but got sick on their's once. They just keep refilling the same bottles. Salad bar was very limited. No mushrooms, green olives, ....seen better at fast food. Anyway steak was one big gristle. It also curled up in the center like it was a muscle or something!?! Had to spit out 1st 3rd of it. The middle third was edible but the gristle got so bad the last 3rd...I gave up trying to cut it. Shouldn't have paid for it. I'm 63 and have never had a steak as bad as this!!!!!!! Had already sent the burnt baked potato back. Just paid and left. Got home before I realized they'd charged $3.00 more than they should have. Used to like the fish but better leave this place alone. It may be time to shut the doors on this one!!! Their greed has...
