Catfish Cove — Restaurant in Cramerton

If I could give a no star I would!!!!!! Used to be the Best around as far as service and food but Lately it seems as if its run by a bunch of lazzzy morons Yesterday at 4pm My family and I arrived(5 of us).within minutes our order was taken and 28 minutes later we finally received our drinks,(tea and water)then after another 25 mins. our food arrived.with 2 being the wrong order,1 not being cooked properly.Only 2 other couples and 1 older gentleman were in the place at the time.2 waitresses were on duty,1 never came out of the backroom but twice to walk around,and the older waitress was slow slow slow and kept talking to 1 couple instead of doing here job.I complained when I paid but they acted as if they could care less ,no apology our order took so long My order had to be redone and by the time I got it every body else had already eaten or tried to I decided to take mine home ,After I got home I tried to eat it and it tasted horrible and had it be thrown out.Approx 2 months ago we went there to have supper,sat down and waited for 35 minutes for our order to be taken which it never was so we left along with 2 other couples who we were not with ,who also had not had their order taken..same situation as yesterday,1 waitress staying in the back,1 older waitress standing around talking and disregarding the other customers The food (chicken ,fish,fries)taste as if they had been purchased from a low standard crappy supplier We will...

This is an update of a previous review. Today, we decided to go back because they have excellent home cooking on Sundays. We have frequented this place for about 30 years now. I am adding to and updating my last review because today was completely unacceptable! Dana, the supposed manager, who has no business managing anyone, ever, was completely rude and confrontational. She has about the worst attitude of anyone I have ever seen. She needs lots and lots of customer service training. She appears to have never had any. She smarts off at customers and acts like a child. This restaurant used to be a favorite place for me and a bunch of my friends; as I stated earlier, I have been going for at least 30 years. She was rude to several customers, other than me and my family. If she learns the proper leadership skills and strategies and how to talk to customers without being completely rude, this could be a great place to eat. I want to thank Melissa. She was our waitress. We have also known her for years; since she was a teenager. Melissa was so nice and sweet. She made us feel better with her wonderful attitude, kind disposition, and fantastic customer service skills. Unfortunately, because of Dana, I only can give one star…zero isn’t an option…However, if they get a new manager or get the current one the proper training, the restaurant experience could be much more...

Lightly breaded catfish fillets melt in your mouth. The jumbo shrimp are delicious. The fried oysters are the best, but I wish they would put more of them on the seafood platter. Although the reorder on oysters was hot and fresh out of the fryer. The whole catfish were great, but bigger ones would be much better as well as the flounder fillets. I believe my flounder fillets were the skinny bottom white side instead of the thick top side of the flounder. It makes a huge difference which side of the flounder they serve. The thicker top side is much more moist and tasty than the white skin fillets, which are much cheaper. This is, of course, why seafood restaurants serve the thin, dry, chewy bottom side of the flounder this gives them more bang for their buck. All said, we will definitely be back at Catfish Cove in the near future and bring my entire family next time. The service was great, and everyone was really friendly.
