I give 1 star because the food smelled good. As for the taste, I never ate it. I ordered a Hibachi 2 entree dinner and 2 spicy tuna rolls which states next to the line item that they can make them spicy and then the price. On the menu the hibachi dinner was $18.00 and $6.00 each for the rolls. The waitress asked if I would like rice and noodles with my entree. I specifically asked if it was extra and was told no. As I got my food to go the waitress rang up my bill. $40.00... When asked why it was so much she stated taxes. When I asked why $10 in taxes she stated that the rolls were $7.95 each and there was $2.50 upcharge to have the rice and noodles. When I asked her why the menu states the rolls are $6.00 yet she is charging $1.95 extra she stated they charge extra for spicy. When asked about the up charge for the rice and noddle she said they charge extra. I pointed out that I specially asked her and she said no. She said she didn’t hear me (yet answered the question I was asking). When asking her a few more questions she asked if I would like to talk to a manager (with an attitude). The Cook (Manager) comes out he states that charge extra for any changes and that the tuna rolls include the roll plus the spice and tax. When asked why they are including tax to the rolls and then taxing me again he couldn’t answer the question. Thank god I got the food to-go. As I didn’t take the food or pay for. As I was walking out he said “go eat somewhere else”. Unreal on how crappy the service is. If they would just advise you of the extra cost when ordering I would have been...

The drive to the location is the only complaint that I have about this place, and even then, it is a on a large business road so it's not hard to get to. This is or would be a great place for you to have lunch. The wait staff was very friendly, while not being over attentive to my table, or any of the tables around me. The plating of the food wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it did have the edge of looking like they gave the plate at least a minutes thought. The food that I taste was very good. The noodles we delicious and weren't too greasy, but the same time were not devoid of sauce. The egg rolls were also very good, being served with the standard sweetened red sauce. Over, I say again, It was a very nice place...

Amazing food. Its a sushi and hibachi joint, so think Osaka's minus the glamour and BS. A real diamond in the rough of west Odessa. The Mario roll is true fusion of Asian meets Mexican, and it is so good. Everything is hand made as far as i can tell, and and ingredients are fresh, it really stands out when you bite into the Lobster hibachi! Meals are anywhere from 12-30$ a plate, depending on what you order, its not overly expensive, and considering what you get its a great value. Family owned and run, dont be fooled because its run by Hispanics, the Asian items are pure Asian, the fusion foods...

Husband and I are stationed around the septic tank of Texas, also known as West Texas. His coworkers recommended this place and I couldn't be more upset. The food is absolutely disgusting. They have 2 waitresses that are so inattentive it hurts, and God knows everything is way over priced. Not to mention you have to fight for your food and your life from the flies. Oh and I almost forgot....the inside of the building is hotter than the outside and its the middle of June.

This place was great! I live in Fort Stockton but heard such good things about Mario's that I decided to make the trip. It was totally worth it! The sushi was fresh and the miso soup was very tasty. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely eat here again!

We will definitely be coming back and reccomending this place to people. I was a little worried with it being in a small town that the food wouldn't be good but the sushi & teriyaki chicken was fantastic. The waitresses were sweet and did a great job.
