We paid about $115/night (cabin #16) for a 3 night's stay and the cabin was missing very basic amenities which you should expect from a "rustic" cabin stay.We don't expect "new condo look" from the cabins and we normally stay cabins only in our vacations (so we are not that dummies to understand how a old rustic cabins would be) but the amount of money its charging with the basics missing you would probably want to try some inns/hotels/motels.||||We have stayed in many cabins in our vacation times and prefer staying in cabins than hotels & inn, but this was our poorest experience so far.||||Some of the notable things are :||||1. A 3/4th of kitchen paper towel was in the cabin for a 3 nights stay and owner will expect you to keep the kitchen tidy with "no stained towels". So you buy your own cleaning supplies.||||2. Only 3 coffee pouch were supplied in the cabins, We guess that's for 3 mornings? If we do the count right we would put at least some sufficient amount of coffee pouches (at least 6 for 2 people we guess?)as a basic courtesy to the travelers. So you buy coffee as you always do.||||3. On the 2nd night we lost our power in the cabin (breaker tripped off) when we tried to warm some foods with the supplied single burner around 8:00 PM in the night. Tried to find some emergency number in the cabin on the notes and there is none. No emergency number to contact if something happens. One of the "Rustic" feature.Luckily found the breaker box on the back of the cabin and got our power back on. On the email sent from the reservation it says there is night manager in this location but there is no sign or guide how to reach out to the night manager , "rustic" feature.||||4. The website advertise "WiFi In Every Cabin" which you would probably prefer since this location does not have any cell service at least ours didn't. After we reach to the cabin the note in the cabin says WiFi is in market and the restaurant and if you see the network on your device the password is "*". Expect not to see there WiFi network on your device since you are not staying in the market/restaurant. We just couldn't get it that how hard is to extend the Wifi to the rustic cabins. We wont mind at all not having cell service or WiFi in remote, but a false advertisement is a no-go and this place is not that off a remote place and Wifi is kept only available with the market & restaurant !!||||5. Owners could easily placed some board games in the cabins if you don't like to watch TVs. Never stayed in a cabin before where you don't see some board games in cabins. Read moreClosed early with no explanation. Road is open on NB US101 so it's not the landslide and I know because I was stuck on the wrong side of it last night. Which was why I was going to eat here tonight, even though based on the breakfast I had the other day, it's not worth the money.... But that's exactly why I was caught on the wrong side of the landslide: I went to Seaquake because their food is good. The people are nice enough or at least they were on the 1 occasion I've gotten to go in...
Well somehow the response made it worse, rather comically; Sir you've gone and put your foot in your own mouth. See, when I walked in there to get breakfast the other morning, you completely ignored me while you talked on your phone. Even though you were standing at the front and you looked right at me... but I had to wait for your co-worker (the woman that you speak of, who was truly kind to me) to come in from putting out the sandwich board sign and then she helped me because you couldn't be arsed to. Also, I'm really sure that you worked very hard to pull my 2 biscuits out of a bag and cover them and canned gravy and sausage before zapping it in the microwave. And don't tell me it's not canned gravy or bagged biscuits. Because it tastes like canned gravy, which also means that it's lacking flavor significantly, but was so high in sodium I was dying of thirst. There was maybe 1 small sausage link worth of sausage in the entire gravy boat (the whole can I presume?). Am I to assumed that the spoon you guys gave me was to just eat the straight gravy out of the container? Didn't even do anything to the biscuits. See, I was gonna be nice and leave that part out on the original review. But here we go.
All this being said perhaps you've learned a lesson to take care of yourself next time. Or I don't know, take a bite to eat in between orders. Or just update something on Facebook because I've started checking that too with businesses due to things like this. See I work in healthcare and so....something seems off to me about your story, mainly that it's extremely overdramatic, but it matters little at this point. I wouldn't return anyway. For the record, if you feel your sugar getting low, you're symptoms are "cold and clammy," (maybe some shakiness, especially hands if you're not actually diabetic) so eat some candy to bring the sugar up rapidly and follow up with a carb and protein to stabilize it. It shouldn't go so far as to be that big of an emergency, especially as you've pointed out, there's not much out there where you guys are including emergency services. And also, I'm going to reiterate that the northbound 101 was open because I got through that morning that same way. And yes, the last time I passed by the store was...
