Jucy's is a well established BBQ restaurant offering traditional Texas Style BBQ with a hint of Southern influence. The meat is smoked on site. A selection of side dishes and desserts are offered.
Orders are placed at the counter and everything's mostly self-service thereafter.
They also offer catering, and carry-out is very popular. We've ordered in quantity for holiday events with good results. They can be quite busy around holidays, I recommend placing orders well in advance.
We've been regular customers here for more than fifteen years and never had a bad experience. The employees are friendly, courteous and efficient, the food is consistently good. The proprietor is usually present, often working alongside his employees.
The facility is rustic and extermely casual, in keeping with true Southern BBQ tradition. It is, however will maintained and clean. They have consistently earned an "A" sanitation rating.
Mr. Jucy is an aviation enthusiast. The decor and atmosphere reflects he's interest in relics of the Twentieth Century, especially items pertaining to aviation and all modes of transportation. Customers are representative of all walks of life, and mostly local. A good place to bring the family and kids. It's usually quiet enough for quiet conversation. No live entertainment or background music.
The restaurant is not usually crowded, but can occasionally be very busy at lunch time. Groups of modest size are accommodated. Seating is not reserved. Simple wooden picnic tables are provided for open outdoor seating year around.
A separate dining room is available to accommodate larger groups and private functions with advance notice.
The facility is wheelchair accessible, however the relatively smooth gravel parking lot could be an issue for some, especially in wet weather.
Parking is free. Cash, credit and debit cards are accepted.

Before I begin with why Juicy's rates a generous 1-star, I'll start with the positives: The teens running the place were friendly The fried potatoes were okay-ish
And now my experience... First time at Juicy's, Saturday night at 7:50 pm. One man in front of me (cafeteria style) and two tables seated, small group for a Saturday night and should have been my first warning. Couldn't find Ribs on the menu so I asked. They sell them by the pound so you tell them how many ribs, bones, lbs, etc. you want, they weight them at $10.99 lbs and ring them up so don't look for set prices. Ordered a full slab of ribs (this are beef, not pork) which was 2.16 lbs, a small side of green beans, small side of fried potatoes, and 2 cornbread muffins for $31.00 as a carry out. I noted that went they got the ribs out of the warmer they weren't wrapped - a bad sign as plastic wrap keeps the moisture locked in. One of the girls working the line did slice the ribs which was appreciated and wrapped them in foil. Opened them when I got home, 5 minutes away, and found them to be so over cooked and dry that they were uneatable. I tried chewing through 3 of them before giving up on the third and throwing the whole rack in the garbage (I figured the raccoons and possums would appreciate them either) - think of the ribs as flank steak cook well-done, not something you would do. The green beans were canned and the cornbread, while likely made on site, were tasteless. I cannot recommend this restaurant nor do I...
Read moreinviting and decorated, staff pleasant and helpful. order and receive food thru line and pay at the end. i opted for brisket and sausage plate that comes with two sides. link sausage had a peppery kick to it. otherwise, both meets were satisfying. i opted for tators, which tasted like red potatoes made breakfast style, i liked them, they were seasoned well and were addicting. coleslaw was okay. ample amount of food for the cost. i got a sweet tea and the apple cobbler. the apple cobbler was divine. omg. definitely on my best favorite list. cons: i didn’t care for the bbq sauce and wish they had a few to choose from. we had very pleasant dining experience. and satisfying meal. well worth the trip. customers from all walks of live enjoying a meal in the simple bbq themed dining room. did i say the staff was great too.
May 2025: It’s been a few years since our last visit here. We arrived for early lunch on a Saturday. The decor, interior and dining room are the same. Food, service and staff were all great as before. Opted for Brisket lunch special, which was so delicious it didn’t need much sauce. Got the brisket with cole slaw and potato salad. Both complimented the Brisket. Had sweet tea and Apple Cobbler for dessert. Definitely recommend and...
