Kokomo's 50's Diner — Restaurant in Crump

One of the only privately owned businesses in this area, that I am aware of, who does diner food this well. Reuben sandwich (Dagwood), Turkey burger (Betty Boop), fried green beans, sweet potato fries with maple glaze, peanut butter shakes, onion rings....all, on point. The quality of food and service delivered here are consistently above average.

This is in a small town surrounded by small towns...a wonderful place to be, but with very little demand for variety and not much competition to be better than the next restaurant down the road. As a Houstonian who has been spoiled by a nationally recognized foodie haven, I'm overjoyed when a burger is perfectly cooked and seasoned, a sweet potato fry is exactly as crisp on the edges as it should be, and everything I sample is on point.

Kokomo's delivers small-town charm with big city quality. A genuine love for food and people is found when you enter this nostalgic and intimate space.

So five stars because the people and the atmosphere are great. We drove about 2 hours because someone wanted to go there for thier birthday. It's a 50s dinner looks and feels just like you expect. Wonderful decor all over. Neat pictures everywhere. You should really go. It's small like really small and cozy. Well worth the drive. The food tastes great just what you would expect. Fried dinner food that just makes you feel good. The sizes are small like really small. I am a large guy but my wife and kids are not even after an meal with fries and an ice cream dessert we were all still hungry. The amount for the price isn't very good but we still had a blast. The size of an order of fries was comical. All in all go for the service, ice cream...

We thought it would be a good experience. This cute little nostalgic diner was pretty on the outside in the decorations inside everything was like 50's deco. But that's as far as it went.If you want to sit in a diner that is a 50s style decorations then this is the place for you if you don't want to eat or you are not hungry you just want to snack. It was quite a chunk of money they charged for a little snack!! When we left we drove up the road to a restaurant & got something to eat. So we left and still hungry I had to go to another restaurant. We won't go...
