Update December 2024 I heard that they had opened and stopped by one Friday afternoon. The facility is very nice. It has that industrial look with lots of room and plenty of tables as well as outdoor space with comfortable seating. On one side, there are fire pits with chairs. As I suspected both bloom winery and ethos brewing are in this together and the spaces are joined. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer flights as well as individual servings and bottles of wine. I tried the Chardonnay and it was too sweet for my taste as well as being a bit pricey.. I also see in some of the other reviews that they are having some startup issues with credit card payments and such. This is normal and I’m sure that they will endeavor to have that working correctly. I tried a flight of the beers and I thought they were all good. The pizza looked good and I heard the clients talking about how it was delicious. I noticed They do have the right equipment to make good pizzas. I’ll definitely be back to give it a try. Urban Cowgill December 2024 August 2024 According to news accounts this building will house a micro brewery, winery and pizza restaurant. Ethos and Bloom are teaming up to make this attraction great place to gather. Located in Good Hope just off exit 205 it is adjacent to Vans Sporting Goods. Opening is set sometime in September 24.

Absolutely awful experience. Do not waste money here. The dough was underproofed, undercooked, gummy, you could tell it wasn’t properly fermented. We ordered the pizza margherita, it was burnt , the basil was scant, as was any sauce and cheese. When I asked for a refire the manager said they couldn’t put the pizza back in the oven. Even my soul cringed as that’s not even what that means and ANYONE in the restaurant industry knows what that means it means make another one and make it right. Instead of doing that he doubles down and says obviously we haven’t had this type of pizza before and weren’t well versed in Italian foods. Then I pointed out my husband frequents Italy for work , which is the point he started googling pizzas and showing us ones that were properly cooked. He then just handed us two pieces of basil and insulted us further. If you want to spend $100 on a hormel cheese plate from Aldi’s and raw dough, with three burnt leaves on it. Then go here. Otherwise go to 412 or another restaurant that actually treats their customers well and knows how to cook food.

This was our first visit to Bloom Winery. It was early on a Sunday evening, so there was not a wait, and we were seated immediately. I will start off by stating that everybody who works there is very nice and will gladly explain anything that you would like to know about their wines. Bella took care of us and did a great job. To start with, as you sit down, they put your charge card into their system. A bit unusual, but they say the brewery and winery are two different owners, and that is how they have to do it. We both ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is their own product, which was excellent. We ordered the 16" Omnivore pizza. The pizza was good but it is not great. They serve it on a pizza pan which they place on a stand which makes a nice presentation. What is unusual is that they give you thin paper plates for eating the pizza. There are better pizzas in Cullman. They do take charge cards, but they do charge $1.35 to use it. It was a different experience, and we will probably return in the future.

We arrived shortly before 6:00 pm and were promptly seated. The decor is industrial but clean and well done. We liked the fact that you can see into the brewery and they hung the US and AL flags on the wall. Unfortunately, that is where the positive ends.

At 6:10 pm, we asked an employee to have a waitress stop by. At 6:15 pm, a waitress came took our order but not before asking for all sorts of unnecessary personal information to enter in their data base, including full first and last name, email address and phone number. We ordered three waters and a large Margherita pizza with pepperoni added to half. We were advised there would be an up-charge for the pepperoni of $2 which we accepted. At 6:20 pm, the waitress returned with three bottle of water with the labels mostly removed. Tap water with ice would have been fine but I get it, they want to make money on serving water - fine, but why remove the label? Are they embarrassed to charge $1 for cheapo Sam's club water or something? At 6:50 pm, another employee from the kitchen staff came to the table to inform us that they were unable to make our pizza with half pepperoni. She said they could add pepperoni to the whole thing or not at all. Really? It is that complicated? I told her if they would have told us that when we ordered we would have ordered two smaller pizzas, one with and one without pepperoni. The employee told us our waitress didn't know any better because she was new. I told her to just cancel the order and bring me the check for the 3 waters. She left. A few minutes later, another waitress came to the table to take our order - close to an hour after having been sat down. We asked to speak with a manager. A third waitress stopped by 1 minute later and asked if we had been helped and we again requested to speak with a manager. At about 6:55 pm, the manager stopped by and asked us what the problem was but it was pretty obvious he was already briefed. The manager explained he only had 4 girls working the pizza ovens and the waitress was new and although they could add pepperoni to half at their other location, the could not do it here because the staff would screw it up and in fact they were in the process of not adding half ingredients at their other location because it gets screwed up too often. I said fine but they should have told me that when I ordered almost 40 minutes ago and they could just bring me the check for the water. The kitchen worker returned while the manager was at the table and he directed her to put pepperoni on half the pizza and cook it and bring it out as quickly as possible. She said the pizza was already made sans pepperoni so adding it and cooking wouldn't take long. The manager explained they were busy so even if they had told me they couldn't add an ingredient to half a pizza when we ordered it, it still would have taken almost as long. At 7:00 pm, our pizza came out. To the manager's credit, he was right, they kitchen staff did screw up the order and left the basil neatly off the half of the pizza with the pepperoni. The pizza was also undercooked. My daughter and her friend sitting at another table both ordered small pizzas at roughly the same time we did 6:10. One came out at 6:25 with a partially burned crust and one came out at 6:45 slightly under done. To add insult to injury, after receiving our three waters and one screwed up pizza later, we paid with a credit card which incurs an extra credit card fee. This experience was definitely not worth $28. We had such high hopes for this place but unfortunately, we will not be returning.

They share a space with Ethos brewery which is apparently an unrelated business in the same building which is getting bad pizza reviews because they seem to be the...

Let me start by saying one nice thing, the atmosphere is really nice! The service on the other hand, not so great, which is super unfortunate.

Last night we went here to celebrate one of our friend’s birthdays. We had a party of 11. We all placed our orders, and everyone at our table gets their pizzas except for the one person.

Our waitress never walked back over to check if we needed anything, or if everyone got their food. It had been 10-15 minutes of waiting for his pizza so he went to the counter to check on it. At this point they inform him that they had forgotten about his pizza and the kitchen closed at 8:00pm so there was no way to make it for him. (At this point it was 8:15pm)

All they offered was to give him a refund for his pizza…which he hadn’t received yet, nor did he pay for yet, so make that make sense???

We had all practically finished our pizzas at this point, but gave him the few slices we had left since he never got any food, and we came here for dinner.

A completely different woman then walks over to our table to close out all of our checks. Firstly, she tells us all that since our party is more than 8 we all have to give a 20% tip. (A tip for what exactly? I’m not sure. Again, all our waitress did was take our orders, drop off our pizza and disappear and completely forget about a whole pizza.) To have an experience like that, and then be forced to give a 20% tip seemed a little ridiculous.

She informs our friend that she will give him a refund, which again he NEVER PAID so how that’s possible?? I don’t know…but he says “ok that’s fine.”

Then she says ok you still owe $1 for the water. He hands her a $1 and she says sorry it’s a $1.09 for tax.

Ok. This is where it’s even more ridiculous. You’re telling me that after you completely forget about his pizza, you’re still going to charge him $1.09 for a water???? And the ONLY thing you offer him is a refund for his pizza??? THE PIZZA THAT IS COMPLETELY NOT EXISTENT AND AGAIN, NEVER PAID FOR TO BEGIN WITH??

All of that to say, we were very disappointed and I don’t think all 11 of us will ever go back. The least they could have done is offered a free pizza the next time he came, or something of equal value for the...

$40 for a supposedly 16 inch pizza and one wine slushie that was not actually wine. That pizza was much smaller than 16 in even though that's what they advertise it as and the so-called wine slushie, was cheap alcohol like beer or something in a slushie. Then to top it off the pizza barely has any toppings on it and it's burnt to hell and back. I won't be coming back I would rather go to Jules Berta in Albertville and get much better tasting food at a much better value and their wine is also a much better value and just as good if not better.

Response to the owner's response: your slushies are not wine. Wine does not come in generic flavors. Also, my wife drinks wine all the time and has never gotten a headache from it. She said she has only ever got a headache from drinking those cheap fruit flavored beer things that come in the store and that's why she stopped drinking them years ago. As for the pizza being burnt and requesting another one, the way some of the staff was acting I did not feel like having something done to my food. The whole experience was just very off-putting and I did not enjoy myself or my food. When I order a large pizza and there's only about seven pepperonis on the entire thing and barely any sausage as well, I know I'm being ripped off especially when that pizza is $30. You sit here and try to justify everything that's wrong and make excuses on every bad review, instead of just owning up to something. If you can't take accountability, you're not going to last long. I won't be back and I'm telling every single person that I know that they shouldn't go as well and I'm showing them the pictures of the burnt pizza because it's not the only burnt pizza I've seen from your establishment and it's not the only person that I've heard talk about how burnt their pizza was. Thanks...
