Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Cumberland Township

Unless you get the 5$ lunch special from 11am-4pm then id not suggest ordering food from here...the quantities are small and the prices are high. I mean seriously who charges for lettuce on your sandwich? Yup you guessed it..this dairy queen. Everytime we order we never get full. I ordered onion rings and my order consisted of 4 rings...seriously?!? Plus im not sure if the lady below me who reviewed this DQ as being unlike any other..not ur ordinary DQ is crazy. Must be how they clean their machines LOL uhh No. We know ppl who work there and theres notbing different and in fact its dirtier than most DQ's and well over due for a total upgrade. There is no seats to sit and eat inside although they do provide 4 picnic tables outside & 2 cement benches along the building. This DQ shuts down during fall/winter months even tho ppl still will eat the food they cook and the occasional ice cream. What is different this season is now DQ In Carmichaels literally will put your ice cream cone on a scale and weigh it...best part is if its not the exact weight you'll watch them throw it out and make another. Uhh so much for being cost effective. I've never been to any DQ that weighed my ice cream. Id rather travel 10 min away to Waynesburg's DQ where its bigger and brighter and cleaner and all around better especially since there's inside places to sit and your cone isnt weighed like...

UPDATE: I am updating my review as this DQ is now under new ownership. They've done a fantastic job cleaning and remodeling! The staff is so pleasant! A complete turnaround!

This DQ is disgustingly dirty. The staff is extremely rude and unpleasant. Not once have I ever had a pleasant cashier here.

The manager only hires young girls and will not even interview males. How they legally get away with this is beyond me as it violates EEOC laws.

The manager is obnoxious and acts as though she's doing you a favor. I understand retail work can be unpleasant and that everyone has a bad day sometimes, but every time I visit this place I have a different cashier and they are always rude. No hello, no thank you, nothing. Just plain rude.

Rude Inconsiderate Staff! Waited 20 minutes for a chocolate dipped cone, Small Blizzard and a cup of Twist! I told the young lady it was a to-go order. She brought me the blizzard with no lid. I asked her to please put a lid on it, she scraped the ice cream off of the top to put a lid on it. It's sat on the counter as she went back to make the dipped cone while my blizzard was sitting on the counter melting everywhere. As my friend was sitting there eating his cone I continue to wait for my cup of twist ice cream! I reminded them I was waiting for a cup of twist, she came out with a cup of twist with a spoon in and set it down on the counter. I had to literally go back towards the kitchen area and once again remind her it was a to-go order. she sarcastically pulled the spoon out of the ice cream went back into the kitchen and came back with a lid.
