El Sazon — Restaurant in Cumberland

This was our third time ordering food for pickup. I got there at the time they told me. Staff was out front near where I'd parked, on their phones and talking and I waited about 5 minutes for them to come inside and talk to me. Food wasn't ready so waited another 10 minutes at the desk. It was just after 1pm and although I'd ordered 2 items from the lunch menu, I was charged the full price. The bill should have been about $15 but I was charged over $30. When I asked the owner why, she didn’t understand my question and acted irritated that she didn't know what I was asking. She kept saying, "Food is good. Food is good." Nobody else came to help. After asking several times I finally gave up and paid the higher amount so I could get back home to my family.

Opened the food boxes and the chicken was not hot, just warm. My husband said it tasted funny but I assumed they'd changed their sauce. My daughter said the guacamole we'd paid extra for didnt taste right and I agreed. We didnt eat more than a couple bites.The refried beans were cold - not cool but cold. So we reheated them. Within an hour we all had bad stomach cramps and each spent most of the night in the bathroom.

Terrible experience. Will not go back. Health Dept need to inspect this place. If there was an option for zero stars I'd have done that...

Me and my group of friends decided to make ice cream while waiting for our food (sandwich bag, creamer packets, salt, and a cup of ice). We somehow managed to finish making the ice cream (shaking the bag angrily) before they brang us our food. We also managed to eat all 6 packets before they brang our food. We proceeded to wait 10 more minutes before getting our food. As girls do, we grouped together and went to the bathroom and for some reason the bathroom smelt better than the restaurant (may I add the restaurant smells like pure sewage). The restaurant smell had somehow wafted it's way into my food when I started eating, so may I state this is an awful restaurant indeed.

Update: Me and some others has gotten FOOD POISONING from eating here. Was originally at least 2 stars but after this I can't even...

I don’t know how or why, but that place smells so bad that I don’t think anyone can stand to have a meal inside there. It smells like raw sewage AND STRONG! The restaurant that was beside sav a lot smelled like raw sewage. You’d think the smell would’ve stayed at the old building. So it’s obviously not the building! What they’re doing to make it stink so bad is beyond me! You can’t understand a word they say, they can’t understand you so good luck on getting your order straight. But there’s no amount of warning that can prepare you for that...
