Golden Champa — Restaurant in Cumberland

We were excited to try this new restaurant, but unfortunately our experience didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped. We ordered online through the website, but when we arrived, the staff did not have our order in their system. Thankfully, they were able to prepare the food for us once we got there.

We ordered several dishes to try, including two orders of chicken wings (one meant to be spicy), but both came out the same. We also ordered three different soups—pho, egg noodle soup, and duck noodle soup—but they all seemed to have the same broth. The pho and pad see ew were not eaten because the beef did not smell fresh. The egg noodle soup was the best dish, but even then, we ordered it with pork and it came with chicken instead.

This restaurant is incredible! The crab rangoons and crispy rolls are the best I’ve ever had—perfectly prepared, and flavorful. The drunken noodles and pad Thai were equally impressive, with bold, authentic flavors and generous portions. What truly stood out was that all three of my children enjoyed every dish, which speaks volumes about the quality and taste. They even asked to return the very next day. This Thai and Laotian eatery opened up in our neighborhood on the Cumberland and Woonsocket line and everyone in my family loves it. I've tried 6 or 7 dishes so far and all have been great but I always seem to circle back to the dishes with the roasted duck. Dinner size meals at $22 comes with a whole half of a duck which seems to be twice the amount I get elsewhere. I like the skin crunchy so Phet the owner puts it on the side for me. ...
