J R's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Cumru Township

This place apparently does not need any new business. I called and placed an order for delivery... I was put on hold to verify if they were able to deliver to my location. After being told yes, and placing my order, I received a phone call stating they cannot deliver to me, according to the manager.... 30 mins after my order was placed, my card was charged, and food probably already prepared. No offer to deliver as one time courtesy, no discount on picking the food up, they clearly have zero customer service skills and no consideration for the fact that you are a restaurant and people order because they are hungry . Not to wait 30 mins to be told you wont get your meal that you are anticipating will arrive any minute. Great management. Def lost me...

New to the area trying out new places, and I'll never be back to this place. I got a special Italian hoogie. There was nothing special about it. It actually reminded me of a hoagie in high school. One piece of meat, one piece of cheese, a lot of vegetable, no flavor. Not even oil or vinegar or season... Nothing, how do you make that special??? My wife got a chicken caesar, wrap.It had no flavor. I'm not even quite sure how you screw up appetizers., but you did it. Their French fries were soggy. $45 for disappointed food. I will never be back, and I will never recommend everyone ever to come here. This was supposed to be a mozzarella stick. It was never cooked.It's too frozen in the middle. Our fried food...

Mike and Cindy are phenomenal at what they do and have been running their catering business/restaurant for roughly 30 years. To say their food is terrific would be quite the understatement, as they have always made the most exceptional Pizza (at the least) in all of Berks County. When it comes down to the level of professionalism, ettiqeut and overall knowledge in hospitality: JR's Pizzeria and Catering are unrivaled.
