My family lives nearby and they discovered this restaurant one day. Now they rave about it whenever I talk to them. The owners of this family-owned restaurant are are very friendly and are very accomodating of special requests. Once there was a missing item from a takeout order and my parents called the restaurant after getting home. Unthinkably, they prepared the missing item and someone from the restaurant drove all the way to drop it off at my parents home. That's an incredible dedication to service.
Of course, the most important thing, however, is that the food is delicious. They serve a pretty standard japanese restaurant faire, but everything we've had is delicious and it really hits the spot. Their portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
The only negative thing you could write about this place is the location is a bit out in the middle of nowhere and the interior is very basic. It would still be comfortable to dine in, but it's by no means fancy. Still the interior is clean and compared to everything else this place has going, it's not even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: Service today was very disappointing. The person in the front today was a bit rude, I asked for the typical teriyaki chicken and asked if it was 2 drinks bc I got a kids meal as well bc if you dine in, they also get a drink. Was told no, just 1 so that's fine. Whatever. I got the food and checked before I left and the main meals always come with soup or salad, I asked for the soup. I asked if they stopped doing that and he gave a bit of attitude that I didn't say which one I wanted. To be clear, I definitely did say soup and why talk back to a customer about it? If I didn't specify, which I did, you as the employee ask the customer bc its what they paid for. It's part of the job. I understand some people just have bad days but customer service is a job where you NEED to hide that and be polite.
Drinks are cold, specifying for the negative review on this place. The food is yummy, I am a big fan of the teriyaki. The only thing that I wish they would do differently is get hot tea options and add some more options to the menu. Also to Mia, you sound like a bitter...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been disappointed with fried rice since I moved down south but this place changed my perspective.
It is a small establishment with about 7 tables, and they have a limited menu of typical Japanese teppanyaki fare. The portions here are great. The service was excellent and the price is right on the money.
I got the combo fried rice with extra chicken and steak as I don't eat shrimp. My significant other got the shrimp fried rice. We got an order of the spring rolls. We can easily split an order of the large fried rice between us. That's a good thing. You'll have enough for dinner or lunch if you play your...
