The Woodtick is a bar for the locals. The new owners are working hard to improve the place. It's got a fresh bathroom remodel, and they are working on a new outside seating area. Update, the woodtick has a new bartender and her name is "SJ". But BJ would be more appropriate because she is a B. I drove 8 of my friends down to the Woodtick on Sunday night on Labor day weekend, at about 930. As soon as I walked in she shouts "last call!" Then something about "You ment to come last night!" So rude! My friends sat down at the far end of the bar and kyle promptly took our drink orders. A while later she comes over again with the same attitude and said again "you guys ment to come last night!" We certainly did not mean to come last night and I don't know if I want to come back again. In the roughly 1 hour we were there we dropped $300 in drinks and pull tabs at a bar that did not make me feel welcome just walking in due to her attitude, which isn't very smart for a off the beaten path divebar that has a reputation...
Read moreI have been going to wood tick inn for over 18 years through ownership and closings. Love pool tables, games and unique atmosphere . Used to have a bartender from South Africa and my son and I loved to sit at bar and listen to him talk. I have turned 100's of poeple on to this place -on their way up north -to their cabins as well as my friends coming up to visit our place. Newest ownership gave me a final reason to spend my time and money at the bridge. First, couldn't buy a beer that was 20 oz. Ok, trying to save money "I get it". Just today stopped in for a beer and was told had to spend $15.00 to use my credit card. See ya! Last time I will be promoting or supporting this establishment. When ownership makes ignorant decisions to save the dollar I'm gone. What percentage of people going up north bring cash vs. Credit? If I'm in the minority than I will spend my minority...

They do great meat raffles and special parties and fundraising events. It is always a pleasure to go there. A special shout out to Berdine ! She is always friendly, attentive, and calm in the eye of the storm, as this place can get very busy. I am glad more food options are available, so it is easy and inexpensive to feed the kids during the day. Another destination that is...
