Ami Pizza? — Restaurant in D'Iberville

Let me first say that this place have the best pizza on the coast imo. However there service leaves a lot to be desired. There seems to be a disconnect in their organization and procedures from time of order to delivery. The last several times I had to wait over an hour to get my pizza. I sat and waited while I watched others that ordered after me get theirs. It seems simple that you put in the order and it gets made but that doesn’t seem to be the case. When I got my pizza, their was no explanation or apology for what had happened. I know the counter person printed the ticket because I had a copy but not sure what happen between that and the people making the pizza. Another thing that bothers me is that I see orders ready to go but just sits on the counter. I know they can get busy but who wants to eat cold pizza? Just turn around and deliver the order. I recommend they work on their standard operating procedures. It shouldn’t be hard since the majority of the orders are the pizzas. Like I said at the beginning, I love their pizza. Their service just stinks.

From my previous review above, they have made drastic improvements with the buzzer system which eliminate the error of misplace orders. However, there are more improvements that are needed. I just left there today (11/12/23 @ 1:29PM). It wasn't that busy and I was in the Casino playing and waiting on my order. After a lengthy wait, I went to check on it. I see a pizza that was laying on the counter that appears to be mine. Like I said, they weren't busy at the time so there weren't many orders. I came back and the counter girl saw me. She took a glance at the pizza on the counter and left somewhere. She came back later and buzz me. I hope you know that pizza's are better eaten hot as oppose to sitting on the counter. I don't understand the blatant disregard for customer service. The sad thing is I know she knows all this and yet no apology. It is ridiculous that this type of service is allowed and tolerated. I could understand it if it was busy but it was not. ...

Update 5.6.2024. The quality of the pizza is worse. Very very greasy, and if you get sausage and pepperoni expect to eat a pizza pie that tastes like a greasy slice of salt. Pizza was so salty it would burn your mouth from the salt. I tried less cheese less meats but still getting eating a slice of grease and salt. Quality is terrible however staff is super friendly. Eat at your own risk but you have been warned. Now OLDER Review from 1 or 2 years ago.This is based on the last 5 calling in take out orders, all during weekdays, and times from noon to 9pm. Everytime not a single answer on the phone but once after the 5th or 6th try. One occasion I drove there after no answer and decided to call and see if the phone rings. Call gets connected and I see the girl look at the phone PICKS IT UP THEN HANGS IT UP wait not once but twice. I inquired to her if the do takeout over the phone and she says yes. I told her I called the last 2 times and she said she did not hear anyone on the phone. Hmm. Well, She never put it to her ear. I said oh and she said sometimes it gets disconnected.She had me try the call again, and voila she answers it and shrugged it off like there must be a glitch. Pizza is great but check it to make sure it's what you ordered. Expect to wait 30min to 50min for 2 large pizzas. Dine in pizza is worth the wait imo. Call for take out 1 out of 5 you might get...

I ordered the chicken salad on croissant. It was the only thing that sounded good..if you're a woman you probably understand what I mean 😂 anyway, I get my sandwich (my son went and got them for us) and opened it up to see what it looked like. I saw there were dried cranberries or raisins in it (like the cranberries, not so much the raisins) and I was wondering how to would taste. I took a bite and I couldn't believe what I was tasting! It was sweet! I am NOT a fan. I have never had sweet chicken salad before. I do not recommend the sandwich. My son got the Italian one and he wasn't much into it either, but I'll let him write his own review. The worst part is I was starving and hadn't eaten for hours. I didn't end up being able to eat until many more hours. This was a disappointment and waste of money. Wish I had something...
