Wanted to go out for Chinese on our date night. After stopping at the local Walmart Neighborhood market we checked Google and Yelp to find good places to eat. Found this one that had some good reviews. This is a small place to eat, seats no more than 45 people. It is NOT a buffet, you order from the menu. The parking is kind of weird, there are no line drawn parking spots and it's right in between 2 businesses, so you kinda have to catch as catch can when parking. When I opened the door and saw the semi walls on either side I wasn't sure if my husbands wheelchair was going to fit, but surprise it did. There were folks waiting around to pickup either phoned in to go orders or to go orders that they placed when they arrived. They told us we could sit where we liked, so we picked a nice open table. The waitress took good care of us, while being extremely busy. We ordered crab Rangoon, egg drop soup and egg rolls as appetizers. For dinner my husband had the Shrimp with lobster sauce and I had the House Fried rice, with the added up charge of including beef. The whole meal was delicious and worth every bite. We decided that this would be a place that we would come back to eat on our next date night and also on our next Chinese mood, without or...
Read morethis was hands down the worse chinese food i have ever had. no sauce. no flavor. not even the correct about and kind of vegetables in the dishes, and most were almost raw. We only waited 10 mins for our order- first red flag. Good food takes more than 10 mins to cook in order to develop flavor. No one was waiting for food which should’ve been another indication of how good the food was. The shrimp lo mein was the wrong color, and i could tell before i opened the package. It should be dark brown. there was no flavor, barely any shrimp, and raw onions. Lo mein should have shredded carrots not just under cooked onions…. and the shrimp should be SEARSD! and covered in flavor. The general tsos chicken had no sauce and only like 4 pieces of broccoli. the sauce was THIN like water. that is not how it should be. it should be sticky, thick, and sweet. so incredibly disappointing. we will...
Read moreI have eaten the food from bamboo multiple times now. I went in with no previous opinions in my mind. Much of the food is obviously homemade. The noodles man... the NOODLES! They are so fresh! The lo mein is amazing. There does seem to be a little excessive use of sauce on many of the dishes, but they are really good. Lacking in spice, but you can request spicier food. it's very apparent that they have altered the food for the American populace. The staff is very sweet and the sauces I have had are too. I have had the orange chicken, orange beef, and general tso's. All were pretty good. Almost exactly what I was expecting, but I was shocked when I realized that the beef and chicken was hand-breaded. Also, the crab Rangoon! How could I forget? Also handmade and delicious. Each time we ate there we got a free order of sweet rolls! I must say that I will...
