May 31st - Chipotlane is operating properly and food quality and portions are superb. Finally, Chipotle is here!
May 30th - I finally was able to use the chipotlane as intended. Portions, service, and quality of food all great. :)
Day 6 - No, you still can't place an order in the drive thru and you'll never be able to here.
Again I'm watching as people pull up to the window only to be told by the server that you can't place an order here. At least they were turned away.
People really must like sitting in that line because I saw someone come thru and hand a bag back inside saying "this isn't our order" or "you gave us the wrong order". So not only have they already taken up a space in Chipotlane once but they circled back around to get in it again to return the order. People must have so much patience to resist walking. That sure is a lot to endure to show how lazy you can be.
Once they handed the bag back in, they just sat there waiting on their right order which presumably wasn't even started yet, and this, my friends, is why we can't have nice things like a properly functioning Chipotlane.
Workers behind the counter and serving the pick up shelf are still doing a great job hustling. Keep it up, team!
Day 3 - Customers, you cannot place an order in the drive thru at Chipotle. Please stop the madness.
The staff simply can't keep up with the demand because demand is very, very high. It goes to show that Chipotle should have been here very long ago. I suspect demand will die down after the locals have gotten over the novelty of a new restaurant in town and then we'll see some normalcy.
I do not understand why anyone would sit in a single file line in their car waiting 30+ minutes without any indication of when their order will be ready when their order could be called and they'd hear it inside if they would stop being so goofy.
People, please stop just sitting in the Chipotlane. You're doing the weirdest things ever and manufacturing traffic.
Opening Day Review!
Great staff working on opening day with a very packed crowd ready for some delicious chipotle. Everyone inside was very nice and working hard for all the customers who showed up, A+! Food was great and classic experience you'd expect from any Chipotle location.
However, Chipotlane was ridiculous, wrapped around the building and out to the promenade row at a standstill.
To customers: You cannot order at a speaker here. Chipotle doesn't do that jazz (for good reason!). If you have not ordered through the app, this line is not yours to congest. Move along, park, and go inside. Use the app to order ahead next time.
If you have ordered through the app, your food is either ready or it's not. If it's ready, grab it and kindly move along. If it's not, park and go inside like I did. It took 2 minutes to grab my food after parking instead of waiting probably 20+ minutes in line waiting for your confusion to end.
To workers: thank you for your hard work. Likewise as above, the food is either ready or it's not. If it's not ready, no prob - there's a lot of customers who love Chipotle. Ask those who's orders aren't ready to park and come inside.
Chipotlane can be magical if you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was served a half spoonful of rice and 7 pieces of meat. I was told I would have to pay a $1.00 for extra rice when she didn't even give me the right proportion in the first place and I found out they are not supposed to charge for rice! So what kind of scamming do you all have going on here? The lady who did it (I did not get her name but she looked to be in her mid 20s, white, brown hair, and heavy set) had an attitude with everyone and did the same thing to everyone in front of me! We all waited in a very long line and she stated her manager told her to lessen the scoop of rice and that her manager told her to charge a $1.00 if you want extra rice and she had a serious attitude!. I let the rice and poor customer service slide because I waited so long in line and was hungry and I didn't know at the time that they are not allowed to charge for rice but when the young man (with brownish hair, teenager, white) only gave me 7 pieces of steak, I told him that's not even close to a spoonful. He looked at the bowl & had a guilty look on his face and then looked at her and she said you have to pay double because we are low on supply at this time(it was 6pm) and stated with an attitude she is following the direction of what her manager told her and I don't have to get the bowl. Very rude! So I took her advice and said your right I'm not paying $11 for this and after waiting 25 minutes in line walked off and she said we don't care and started laughing. I have never experienced anything like this in a restaurant before and I was very shaken up by this. This happened a month ago and I don't usually leave reviews but since I have been seeing people across the country having the same experience lately and they even have made a challenge because of this called the walk off challenge after this same thing happened to me, I decided I would let everyone know my similar experience. I loved Chipotle and frequented this business a lot but have never been back since this happened a month ago and never planned to. But I think now that a month has passed and ever since my experience people across the country are having the same experience, Chipotle is under scrutiny for not giving the correct spoonful portions (4oz of meat) I am trying to be optimistic and hoping they are taking accountability and correcting this major issue. I will give it one more try in the near future to see if anything has changed from the poor customer service to incorrect proportions and hope for the best. After I try it again at this location I will come back on here and give my updated review...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, I'm a Cali girl and was super excited they brought a Choptle to the Gulf Coast! With that said, this restaurant has been a big letdown. The dining area is always dirty. The tables, the floors. Because of this, I've never dined in. There's usually several employees behind the counter, so I'm not sure why they don't take a second to wipe down and sweep the floors. Reminds me of Waffle House, Ewww!! I will say I'm extremely happy they brought the Al Pastor chicken back!!!!! When I visit Choptle, my husband and I only get rice with chicken. I understand supply and demand but, 1 small scoop of rice and 1 even smaller scoop of chicken for $10 each. Now, if you ask for a real scoop of chicken or rice, your charge for a bowl is $13. Please consider the people who only get 1 topping. Lastly, there's one employee whose name I can't think of at this moment, but I'll update my review when I see him again. He's very personable and seems like the only real adult working there. Always smiling and super friendly. Overall, the food is good but overpriced if you don't load up your bowl or burrito. The dining area is dirty, and they have 1 good employee, lol. Yes, I would eat here again because the food is good. But, not happily, lol. Oh wait, I forgot to say, 2 small bowls of chicken and rice is $28! Also, on another occasion, I ordered 2 kids' meals for my children and ordered queso for them. The cashier acted as though she did me a favor by telling me she was giving me 1 regular bag of chips inplace of the 2 small kids bags that come with the meals because they were out of small bags. Uhmmmm girl, they only put a pinch of chips in the regular sized bags š and then the ishhhh is always...
