From the moment I stepped into Dewy Dew Bugz, I knew I was in for something special—but nothing could have prepared me for just how phenomenal this experience would be. This place is a hidden gem that absolutely blew me away!

Let’s start with the food. I kicked things off with the boudin balls, and WOW—crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned on the inside, and paired with a bold Thai chili sauce that was the perfect spicy-sweet balance. Next came a cup of gumbo loaded with sausage, shrimp, and crawfish tails—rich, deep, and soul-warming, like it had been simmering for generations. The smoked tuna dip with shrimp chips? Genius. The smoky flavor of the tuna mixed with the crunch of the chips created a flavor explosion I won’t forget.

And then came the crown jewel: 5 lbs of spicy crawfish. They were perfection—juicy, fiery, and cooked to absolute tenderness. Every bite was a celebration of Louisiana flavor done right.

To top it all off, Milli, our server, was a ray of sunshine. Friendly, attentive, and so knowledgeable about the menu—she made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. Her service was flawless, and she elevated the entire experience.

Food was excellent as always, unfortunately i can’t say the same for service. I am not one to complain but it was unavoidable. my friend and I went for saturday night girl time. we picked this restaurant because today was the last day they would have crawfish. i’m not saying names because you never know what someone is going through so i’ll chop it up to she wasn’t having a good day. she only came to our table once to take our order, bring us our drinks, and then the check. not friendly at all. we sat with our cups empty for over 10 minutes. i have to get up, walk to the kitchen, and ask another waitress for refills. at the end of our meal when time for the checks came, she gave us each our bill. my total was $54 and some change. I gave her my card and got a text message when she swiped stating I had been charged $69 and some change. when i mentioned it to her, she acted like it was nothing and said “it’s fine.” no it’s not actually. then proceeded to turn around and tell the hostess to “deal with it”. we sat there for over 20 minutes waiting for some proof that i was going to be charge what i owe and not foot someone else’s bill. we received zero apologies.

We went for the first time Thursday evening. The first impression was not very good but we just shrugged off the lack of a greeting, unwelcoming faces and the guy grabbing menus and walking away from us without even letting us know that he was seating us. The only person there that didn't have the personality of a Brick wall was what I assumed to be an owner, manager, etc. Our server had the same stone face and nonexistent care. Not a single employee there smiled...nor did they utilize the most basic customer service skills (hello, smile, thank you). The food tasted ok (except for the stuffed crab. It tasted like it had cleaner in it) but not better than other seafood restaurants where you don't feel like an inconvenience. The prices were higher than other seafood restaurants but the experience was not worth the price. We spent $100 for 2 adults and 1 child. The ketchup bottle, hot sauce bottle and seasonings have never been wiped down (gross) and they just leave the old food crudded, dirty paper towel roll on the table. The lack of cleanliness, less than average service and higher prices helped to steer us back to our go-to restaurant from now on. My advice would be to take your money...
