Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in D'Iberville

I’m my entire life I have not been so disappointed in a dining experience. We originally went there on a Sunday night and wanted the baked Potato with bar b q meat on Top. They were out of potatoes so we decided to come back later in the week. We went back a few days later and still they had no potatoes so we decided to get other options. For my child we ordered the Dino nuggets with chips and fruit punch. They were out of chips and we undetstood that they had some bar b q chips but we’re never brought any. The fruit punch tasted like water. We got a different drink but She had nothing on her plate except nuggets. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries but they were out of catsup for the fries. The other person with us ordered the ribbed platter. With fries and green beans and sweet tea. The green beans were awful, the tea tasted like water and of course no catsup in The whole place.. she said the ribs tasted good and the pulled pork tasted fine but for the price it looked like a child size sandwich. There was no service beyond taking Our order and coming out to say they didnt have the.chips and catsup.. I ordered unsweetened tea but there was no alternative sweetener besides the sugar packets. We had really looked forward to a great Bar b q meal but it was ridiculous that the restaurant was even open while their supplies were so depleted. It was too expensive to have such a...

Very seldom do I rate a place so low. When we ordered we were given a short list of items they were out of. But not to worry we were able to order around that. While waiting on the food we chose to get our drinks ready as usual. My wife and I choose unsweet tea as usual but there was no sweetener to choose from at the drink stand so we requested some from the counter, which the employees had no idea what sweetener was even after we described it. We then dumped the tea and filled our cups with coke zero that tasted very bad. So $6 wasted for 2 drinks. When our food came it was cold to Luke warm and sub par at best. My wifes order was not correct in any means because there were more items that the kitchen was out of that were not told to us while ordering. The cook made-up a sandwich which looked somewhat like what she had ordered but was a chicken patty instead of country fried steak patty and did not have all the fixings as advertised online as well as on the overhead menu. The people running the counter/restaurant were unclear as to how to handle this situation but did reimburse one...

(7/2/2025) I came in around 8 PM, and my experience was completely ruined by the girl with red hair. Her attitude was absolutely horrible from the moment I started ordering. She looked visibly annoyed the entire time, and acted as if me being there was a burden.

When I changed my mind to add a drink during checkout, her energy became even more unpleasant. She carelessly slid the cup across the counter and made me feel completely unwelcomed. Her demeanor was suffocating and uncomfortable.

To make things worse, the food was cold. I ordered two sides and only received one—and not surprisingly, she was the one who prepared them. The single side I did get (mac and cheese) came in a tiny bowl with barely half a scoop inside. There was also no BBQ sauce available at all.

Overall, the service and food were both unacceptable. I regret not checking my bag before leaving, because I absolutely would’ve asked for a refund. The only saving grace was the young man who prepared my ribs—he was polite and respectful.
