I was gonna give this place a 0 star but there was no button for it so I had to give it a 1. So this morning I went to Henry’s Cafe to order drinks. I walked in and waited but no one served me until like 5 minutes later. Then I ordered 4 drinks and asked for less ice because I don’t like a lot of ice in my drink. After I paid and got in my car, I checked the drinks again and realized that they weren’t filled up, so I told my cousin to go in and talk to them about it cause I didn’t wanna talk to them. She went in and told them how the drinks weren’t filled up, and the staff there said that the drinks don’t fill up with less ice. What the hell. And then he told her that I went to Facebook and gave them a bad review before but I still came back to buy drink. I just wanna correct this. I’ve never given reviews for any restaurants that I ate at before even if it was a bad service or bad food. This is my first time giving a bad review because I’m so angry about how his place treated me. So I walked in and asked then since when did I gave them a bad review? So I argued with them about this and they told me that they cannot fill the drinks up with less ice. I told them whenever I ordered at another place and asked for less ice, they still fill the drinks up for me. And they told me, “that’s an American restaurant. This is a Vietnamese restaurant.” What the hell does that have anything to do with this? I ordered at Quickly’s before, it’s Vietnamese, but they had no problem filling it up for me. So I told them that I will never come back to this place and they said good don’t come back (how he can be the owner when he treated the customer like this!?). Is this the way to treat customers? There was a problem, so we went in and tried to solve it but this is how...
Read moreAfter almost a decade of patroning Henry’s Cafe, I am disappointed to have to write this review of our recent experience.
A few days ago, we had lunch at Henry’s and I ordered a pork rice plate. I received the pork rice plate (which was quite average), but also received a fried egg with my order. When we paid for the meal, there was a charge of $5 for the egg in addition to $15 for the rice plate. There was no mention of a fried egg included with the rice plate on the menu.
When we confronted the waitress, she nonchalantly stated that “the egg is included with the rice plate and just charged separately.” I’ve ordered rice plates here previously and never heard of this. I wasn’t sure if this was new since they had recently updated their menu. Make it make sense.
I’m not sure whether she mistakenly thought I ordered the egg and was just covering her mistake, but rather than confirm this when ordering or apologizing later, she said this was the practice. The waitress continued to be very defensive as we inquired about the charge and just responded that she “doesn’t make the prices.”
These deceitful practices to make a quick buck are unacceptable. Given this sour experience, my family will no longer patron Henry’s and will advise our friends and family to be wary of eating here. If you want good Vietnamese food, just go down the street to Kien Giang or Vung...
Read moreIf you know me, you know that I don't really complain about food, but I'm really sad about this one. Vietnamese banh mi sandwich is his and mine favorite kind of sandwich. We were in Biloxi so of course we had to pick up some banh mi! I got a few to bring back home for my sister, we live 3 hours away. Cold cuts usually contains head cheese, cha lua pork sausage, and sliced pork, it had all of that, but there wasn't even enough meat to cover the whole sandwich. One thin sliced head cheese, one thin sliced pork... I ended up taking meat from my other sandwich to make one sandwich. It's bad when my sister said I actually got more meat than her 🙈 The owner was there so I guess this is how their usual is.
Their Vietnamese coffee and pate chaud was...
