5 stars for Osaka Japanese Hibachi...and I'm not a giver of 5 stars, but they deserve it. I wish I would have taken pictures because the restaurant was beautiful. From the front door to the back (and even the restrooms) made me feel like I was in a luxurious environment. I could tell that they took pride in their establishment.
Our party of 3 waited with a party of 4 and another couple and when we were all seated, they placed us together at one station, so it was communal dining. I really liked that and didn't feel out of sorts sharing the space with strangers. It was really very nice!
Once it got rolling, the chef flashed his extraordinary skills and kept us entertained with each dish. He was an excellent showman and dazzled us with his expert flips, twirls and tricks. The onion train was the best as took a thick dissection, stacked the rings into a chimney, lit it on fire and caused it to steam while playing a train whistle on his instrument. He then slide the chimney into the veggies as seasoning as he diced them up. He was also a great cook. The food...AMAZING!!!
I've been to two hibachi restaurants before and wasn't thrilled with the meals. While all three served the usual soup and salad starters, this hibachi added small, delicious extras to each that made tasty contributions to otherwise plain appetizers. And where the others lacked flavor and tasted charred because the food sat on the iron too long, Osaka's food was dynamite! It looked fresh and tantalizing before it was even cooked. It was colorful, full of vibrancy, flavorful and cooked to perfection!
I had the shrimp ($12.95) but the chicken, steak and veggie options were available and each meal was customizable but came with rice, veggies AND noodles! They also had teriyaki sauce that was sweet and savory and quite simply delicious. The yumyum sauce was super yummy too.
Be prepared for monster-sized portions, so either go really hungry or ready to share. It's an extra $6 added to a meal which is more than reasonable for the amount of food you'll be carting home if not. Just go. ...
Read moreWe usually enjoy Osaka and I take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt, but today was an experience that needs mentioning. While having our food prepared by the hibachi chef, he had just gotten done cutting up a steak for another diner and went to cutting up chicken that he had just flipped. The chicken was still very much raw. He then proceeds to take an entire breast of this raw chicken, in an attempt to entertain, and puts it on my child's plate. Then, he throws it back on the grill. Her plate was already full of cooked rice, that she was eating. My mother, my wife and I all looked at each other in horror. Then after he cuts up the rest of the raw chicken, he moves over to the other steak and starts cutting it up to serve without ever cleaning his knife or changing it out from slicing up the raw chicken. My wife had ordered vegetable hibachi to go with her sushi. When he plated her vegetables, he gave her less than the kids. He then plated mine. When he checked his order sheet, he saw she had ordered vegetable hibachi so in an attempt to make up for the difference, he took his spatula and scooped some vegetables off my plate and threw them on my wife's plate. There are pictures and witnesses to back this up. I guess we dodged the bad service there long enough and we finally got it. We won't be back and I don't recommend anyone else eating...

Well I got up to go to register while they was cooking our food and asked if they could get ticket so I could pay for our group and they came back the ticket was 213$! They charged us 8$ two time for kids sharing an adult dinner which is no more food to share and they charged us a 30$ tip for group over 6! I would understand if it was all adults or something but if I wouldn’t have paid for whole group it would have been two tickets but I tried to get them to explain it and they just kept saying how I had to pay it! I still do not understand how it was so much when dinners are only 20$ plus tax! The drinks broke down to be about 5$ a piece we all got soda and two people got sweet tea! I...
