Ok, so with all the flu stuff going around we are a little more self conscience about germs as is everyone. The waitress (super nice) was coughing like the plague into her arm....a turn off but we looked past it but who lets someone like that work at a restaurant when they are sick/flu? Anyway, we order and then I proceed to get up and to go to bathroom and wash my hands. As if on timing, the soap dispenser is out of soap; it has been opened as well as though someone was trying to get any soap out they could but was bone dry. I had seen several people going into bathroom as we were right by it and no one said a thing so how long had it been out?
Now I am pretty upset and thinking that the staff shares rest room I am about to get the family and leave....knowing they are straving I instead walk to the front hostess and ask her if the employees share customers bathroom and she assures me they have a private restroom in the back. I tell her they are out of soap in the main mens room and feel ok about eating and keep my mouth shut so I don't gross anyone else out.
We eat and food was good. I get up to wash my hands after meal as they are covered in burger juice....again on cue, an employee comes out of the stall ( not number 1), washes his hands (soap there at this point) and goes straight to a table and starts cleaning/busing. Disgusting! They lied about the employees sharing a bathroom and while that bus did clean hands with soap, how many times did they use the rest room when they were out of soap before we go there?? Please put 2 dispensers in restroom or check it at night and if it is low replace it, not wait for who knows how long when it runs out?
Now today, both my wife and I have the sniffles and coughs....coincidence? Probably but can't help and get more mad today about it. This was Sunday the 28th and today is...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease just dont come here. This place just needs a overhaul. Clearly since I've come here many times (explain more below) and it just never is a good experience.
Dont get me wrong , the food at outback SHOULD be good. This particular location has always been plagued with extremely long waits for what you are buying. I dont know if its just because they've got such a high turnover and have to train all the time (the message that the staff always tells the guests) or if they're just that bad at cooking accurately, but the food is usually almost always wrong to some degree. Either something was cooked improperly, (like tonight's 25 minute wait for bloomin onion only to find the finished product mission nearly 1/3 of batter). Good luck on getting your steak cooked accjrately. But dont dare ask for it to be redone as it will take another 20+ min to redo.
Think I'm talking just about myself ? How about just sitting there and observing how it seems the MOD are always on an apology tour every 10-15 minutes to tables apologizing to customers about all these issues. Trying to make you feel like they are genuinely trying to fix these issues. If the people in the kitchen had any sense of quality control maybe they would not have to return so much messed up orders which slow everything down so much.
The biggest reason I dont recommend the place, especially here in Diberville is that despite after years of trying to give them chances (I proposed to my wife here many years ago and they are the only place that serves her favorite dish -alice springs) , your experience and reason for going out in the first place will make you leave feeling like you wasted your time , and were ripped off because of how long you wanted trying to get something you used to love. Shame on you . And shame on me for continuing to give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was a conflicting review for me to write. I don't like to write reviews based off of one experience usually but I just felt very strongly about this visit.
I ordered the ribeye, rare and my companion ordered a new york strip, medium well. I was served a medium well ribeye, and him a rare New York strip and the veggies we ordered were on the wrong plates as well.
The waitress did well and asked for a manager even though we didn't ask.
The manager, however, could not offer anything other than a dessert that neither of us could have due to diet restrictions and to wait another 20 minutes after already waiting for 40 minutes for our food to come out.
Granted, it was a very busy Sunday and there was a wait to be seated.
After denying the dessert and embarrassingly explaining why, and denying waiting more time to eat after our food was already lingering under our noses, the manager apologized and walked away.
We would have hoped he would have offered to discount the meal or offer a future discount. But instead, threw his hands up even though we explained our diet restrictions to the waitress before the mix up even occured.
I have worked in customer service for many years. Specifically, handling disgruntled customers who didn't receive our best efforts. This should have been handled differently.
I feel I was gracious with my rating after this experience. Management should consider a better approach when they make a mistake...with not just 1, but 2 meals that cost over $100 after tip. And you bet we still tipped the waitress properly and paid in full despite our...
