What a nice little place on the coast. Don't be put off on the size there are a few areas where tables can be pushed together for a large party inside. Plenty of 6 person booths and a good size bar. The service on Friday was incredibly fast for it being pretty packed. We got a seat right away, and our drinks, chips, and dip came within under 10 minutes of being seated. Our food came extremely fast, about 10 minutes. As usual, I had nachos, the rest of the family ordered a chimichanga, and our youngest got a half order of nachos. During the meal, the waitress checked on us 3 or 4 times. She was pleasant, but it seemed like she was nearing the end of her shift. As for the atmosphere, it was decorated with lots of pictures, paintings, and other artwork. It was extremely loud until the mariachi band came in, going from table to table singing for those who gave them a tip. Unfortunately, someone was definitely in a Christmas mood :-( bahhumbug. But it was interesting for my kid when they started singing Baby Shark. As for the food, my youngest said the cheese and the nachos was really good. The chimichanga was delicious. As for my nachos it was kind of bland and watery. The layering of meat, cheese, and beans was spot on but kind of soggy at the bottom. The meat seemed to be missing any real flavor, no spices. All round though, it was a decent meal for the price, service, and atmosphere. Pepe's seems like a great place for families, looking for a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

When my date and I arrived we were seated quickly and chips came within minutes. Unfortunately the chips were stale and, while the salsa was decent, it wasn't good enough to mask the poor chips. It took almost 20 minutes to put in our drink orders despite not being busy but this seemed to be a miscommunication on who was supposed to be waiting on us. Once it was settled the service was great and the young lady was friendly. I ordered Chile Rellanos as it's one of the few places that use poblanos instead of bell peppers. I was told I could get them with shredded chicken inside them so that's how I ordered them. The attached picture is what they brought me. When I said something about them forgetting the chicken or was brought back to the kitchen and they threw a few chicken chunks under it and brought it back to me. This tasted nothing like Chile Rellanos. It tasted like like someone dropped a fried pepper in a gallon of queso..I managed to get one down and ate the beans and rice. My date ordered tacos and enjoyed hers. Or margaritas were good despite being a little pricey for the size. If I go back I'll stick to something safe like a burrito or taco. Specialty foods aren't their forte.

We were visiting our son and his family for Christmas and visted Pepe's for Christmas Eve dinner. Boy were we in for a delicious treat! The food was absolutely fabulous! I had the Carnitas, omg!!, my husband had tbe 'everything' plate, whole lotta goodness, my son had the California burrito, huge awesomeness, daughter-in-law had the chicken chimichangas, tasty, our grandson had the ckn fingers 'n fries, very good. You could taste the love in each bite...it was some of the best food I have ever eaten! It was fresh, hot, full of mouth-watering flavor! We did save a 'lil bit of room for dessert...our grandson got the banana burrito w/fried ice cream, our son enjoyed the flan. Total goodness! Both were very much enjoyed by all. The service was over the top great, food was mouthwatering delicious, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. If you are looking for a great evening of delicious, awesome food, great drinks, then go to Pepe's Bosque Mexican Grill! I know where we will be eating again on our next visit to see the kids. You just gotta go and enjoy!!

If your a colored person please do not waste time here, me and my husband are mixed couple and I do look Hispanic. We waited to get seated 15 mins. Finally when we sat down the waitress told us she will be back with our menu. We waited patiently for 30 mins and people who came after us got the menu , so we waited another 10 mins and more people walked in and got their menu ! Finally I got up and got the menu myself. Now they sent a waitress who don't even speak english right and she started speaking in Spanish with me 😳??? So she couldn't understand what we wanted to order , now she went and got another person to translate and take our order. They bought us chips and salsa and our drinks. Now after 40 mins of waiting they bring our food out cold , and my husband told them he don't do salads , and they still bring out shrimp served on top of lettuce. I seen his face like why ??? I ordered #54 I believe and it was supposed to come with side of tortillas and salad guacamole which they forgot to bring . But then I realized they didn't even give us any fork , spoons, knife. When the waitress came back I asked her for what I was missing, she brings me back spoons and forks but not the tortillas and my side ? Now for waiting this long our food was already cold. Now I asked her again for my sides ? She finally bought it to me. I was so mad and told my husband the food is cold enough now so lets just go now. I asked them to bring the bill and plate to go since we didn't eat. I told her give me 4 to go plates and she brings back 2 only.... 😞😞😞 I swear this was the worst racist experience that I ever had. They served white folks who came after us and they had white waitress who spoke good English but they sent us one who don't speak English ??? They are racist and I had the worst time ever. We are never going back and I don't recommend this place for colored...

I LUV Pepe’s so much that I actually had withdrawals during COVID. The food is outstanding and I NEVER had problems with the service until today. I had been getting take out orders weekly so I went to call in my order and they never answered. It was about 230 on a Saturday so I found it odd but I was heading that way so I thought I’ll just order there. When I got there it didn’t look busy and they didn’t look short staffed so I asked the girl at the register if their phone was broke. She said I don’t know. I said I called a couple minutes ago did it ring. She said no. She didn’t seem to care. So I said well ok I want to place a to go order and she asked me to come around the corner. So I did and she preceded to help the couple behind me instead of taking my order. I guess the person @ the bar is responsible for taking to go orders now. (I think it’s PePe’s wife who’s usually @ the register and she always took my order and y’all she is good, she can do 10 things @ once and make it look easy) So while I was waiting for my order I decided to test the phone thing out since I was standing by it. The girl @ the register was wiping the counter down and hanging up a calendar, which was close to the phone, while the phone was ringing. I was SHOCKED. Maybe she was told not to answer. I don’t know. The guy in front of me waiting for his order saw what I was doing and shrugged his shoulders. The girl wasn’t rude but I could feel the tension between us so I just kept my mouth shut. I tip on my take out orders because folks, the people who take your order have to get it ready for you and to me that is the same thing as “waiting on you”. But unfortunately I didn’t feel compelled to tip this time. This will not stop me from eating there but I hope Pepe reads this and try’s to come up with solutions to fix this. See you...

It was decent. My favorite part about this place is the atmosphere although their floor is pretty slippery, or it was when I was in there. I was worried about my mother walking to and from the restroom when we went for lunch. I didn't give the service 5 stars because our waiter, a bigger dude with an almost bald head, was getting off work and didn't finish waiting on our table. He didn't walk the new person over to us and introduce her or even say anything to us about leaving and not finishing waiting on us, we were finished with our meal and about to leave. This lady just walked up and told us that he is off work and wasn't going to finish waiting on us, and she was taking over. We found that to be very unprofessional and if it wouldn't have been for that, I would have given him 5 stars for his service because he did keep our drinks filled, he didn't interrupt our conversation when he would refill our drinks, he brought our food out hot, correct and placed it correctly for us. He didn't have to ask who had what food, he was polite and hospitable. As for the food, it was decent. I had steak fajitas. The portions were a little smaller than you'd get at one of the real authentic little Mexican restaurants on the amount of steak in the fajitas and I do wish the cook would cut the fat off the meat a little better before it is served. That seems to be something that you run into at most Mexican restaurants, I've only found one who cuts off all of the fat. Nobody wants to bite into a bunch of fat when they're trying to eat their delicious tasting food, guys!! It would be perfect if y'all could just cut that fat...
