This place was ok. Very small place with two tables and counter top seating. Everything was very clean and orderly. The chicken and waffles tasted good. The service was nice and friendly. We added an egg to our order and asked for them to be cooked over medium but both eggs came out hard with the yokes broken and over cooked. In the menu you can see from 6 months ago an egg there cost less than a dollar. I was surprised to see that they charged us $2.80 EACH for our eggs that were over cooked!! I can buy a dozen eggs for that price!!! I’m pretty sure the egg wasn’t priced that high on their printed menu or else I wouldn’t have ordered it. That’s just ridiculously high for a single egg and if you are going to charge that much you can at least cook it the way the customer ordered it. Am I being overly critical about this? Maybe I am stressing out over a stupid egg. LOL! Anyway, besides the stupid expensive over cooked egg, the place was decent. On the fence if I will be going back there again. My check (including tax & tip) was almost $42 for three chicken tenders on a waffle and a fountain drink (x2). I may go back to try other menu items because the food was tasty and the people were nice but I will double check my receipt before...
Read moreI recently had an opportunity to dine at Rockin Chicken and Waffles in D’iberville. I ordered the Classic Chicken and Waffles and Fried Dumplings. The chicken was absolutely delicious! Freshly cooked with a nice crispy batter that was well seasoned. The seasoning level was solidly between Canes at the milder end and Popeyes at the higher end. I felt that it was good and would appeal to most people. The waffle is a Belgium waffle with a slightly sweet and creamy flavor. It was wonderful! They offered a traditional syrup and a spicy syrup as well! So good!
If you have a special request, just ask! They will try to accommodate you. If you want to dine in, keep in mind there are only two tables that seat four. So, 8 people total can be accommodated at once.
The owners, David and Ling, were very nice to chat with while I was there.
I can’t wait to try other menu items. It was...
Read moreThe Chicken & Waffles Sandwich was really good. It is a single Belgium waffle split in half to be the top and bottom of the sandwich with hi ken tenders and vegetables between them. There was a Rockin' Spicy Syrup available that I had my doubts about, but it complimented the sandwich very nicely. It semed like maple syrup with a bit of Sriracha added in it. Being the first customer of the day, the coffee was brewed fresh and powdered creamer and sugar is available as well.
Service was amazing my entire time while dining in. I was greeted by the cashier and owner and checked on several times while I dined.
The building is quite small, so they can maybe fit 3 or 4 groups of 3 people. Overall the atmosphere was very welcoming and I am glad I stopped...
