Monday evening ribs and shrimp were delicious and cooked perfectly. My compliments to the chef. Although, the baked potato had clearly been sitting for some time and was hardened. Edible but not moist or fresh.
The place was nearly empty. The greeter who seated us was expressionless and looked bored to have to wait on anyone. He grabbed a couple of menus, said nothing, and walked away frowning. We simply followed.
Our server was pleasant when she took our order but was rarely seen. She had to be looked for when we needed a check. It was a long wait. I literally got up and was looking around for her. When I finally saw her and motioned to alert her we’d like a check, she took her time before finally moseying over to our table. Then, after taking our credit cards, she took her time in returning them so we could sign. She didn’t provide a receipt. When I asked if we get a receipt, she hesitantly said she could go get us one - not a good business practice. We had already waited so long it was getting dark. Because we had to drive back to Gulfport, I said forget the receipt. I have never before left any merchant without my receipt but didn’t want to wait another 10 minutes.
One other thing that I’d like to say to this manager. The tables around us were all empty and had been nicely reset for new guests, but the floor around and under the tables was filthy with chunks of food lying everywhere. No one attempted to use a broom or push sweeper to make the area presentable. Yet, when I went to the restroom to wash my hands before dinner, I passed two employees back toward the toilet area sitting on their rears scrolling on their phones, oblivious to anything around them.
You have great food, but the service left much to be desired. A few employees were working. This would be an exceptional place if all of the employees were working as they should. But the ones who could, never attempted to remove fries and many other bits of food from the floors but rather sat and surfed on their phones. This should not be. You have good food. With improvements, it could be a...
Read moreKimberly A. has provided us with top notch service over the last several weeks, as we have been coming in to eat multiple times a week. We always ask for her when she is working. She is very personable, efficient, and has gone above and beyond with our many special requests. She remembers what you like to drink and how you like things cooked. We never have to ask for extra napkins because she always brings plenty, which I especially appreciate. She deserves to have the best hours and the best shifts. Please let her know that Lisa and Warren really appreciate her! The food is generally pretty good, but it really depends on which cooks are working that evening. Unfortunately, the food can be hit or miss as the taste of the same dish can very greatly depending on the cook. For example, you may really like a dish the first time you order it, but the next time you order it, you may be disappointed. Also, we really miss the variety of items that used to be on the Garden Bar, pre-Covid. I think it was 55 or 57 items. It was so much better then. We loved it! The management seems to be very likeable and accommodating. If there is a problem with a dish, coupon, or bill, they will try to work it out. In general, we enjoy eating at this Ruby Tuesday mostly because of the staff and atmosphere. They do a really good job to provide...
Read moreThe service was prompt, polite and willing to be honest. The food was great.
My partner ordered one of their many burgers on the menu and was particularly satisfied with it. Its no Mugshots, but in a pinch you'll still be in good hands. Add bacon, you won't regret it.
I orded the fried shrimp partly because I'm boring and mostly because I find it a good thermometer for the quality of a restaurant. They were a tad pricy, but for a dozen good-sized fried shrimp and the very generous portion of french fries you recieve it seemed fair.
The batter for fried shrimp in American restaurants is normally very seasoned to cover frozen or otherwise poor quality shrimp; this was not the case at Ruby Tuesdays. The batter was tasteful, and I was pleasantly surprised when it did not overpower but instead escorted the taste of good shrimp. I've lived on the coast a long time. That was a shrimp platter I'll remember fondly. That platter earned an entire star. I don't if I was mearly lucky, but I hope they can deliver that same quality to anyone reading this.
I found the pricing a bit high on everything, but I did not count off for it. I believe in paying for good food, and Ruby Tuesdays didn't dissapoint for what they asked. Still,...
