we usually love it here, but today really left a bad taste in my mouth. firstly we were told to sit anywhere, then of course the only 2 top available was sticky once we sat down. we were given drinks with no straws. we order our food fairly quickly, and the “crab” rangoons came out pretty fast but were the tiniest things we’ve ever seen. they also advertise them on their menu as $7, but we were charged $7.28 none were full of any cream cheese and between all 8, we had 1 piece of crab. then we waited, waited, and waited about 35 mins then our server came to inform us that our ticket didn’t fully print in the back and they would put a rush on the food. we waited about another 15 mins and the food was alright, but not up to normal standards. the beef in our curry was fatty and chewy. the fried rice was dry and hard and when we asked for some sauce to moisten it up, they charged up us $1.06 for not even 1oz of sauce…. then she informed us we would have a discount on our ticket for the wait. well between the $1 for a tiny bit of sauce and the taxes our $4 discount didn’t do much to compensate for the flaws today. really a shame because we usually love coming here. seem like the servers could also spend less time chatting up their regulars and check on other guests (as we were never even offered any refills or asked if our food...
Read moreMy family and I order takeout from Thai Jasmine regularly, and the food is consistently delicious. This review is in regard to the woman acting as manager on May 1st.
I arrived for pickup at the exact time the food was scheduled to be ready, only to find the restaurant very busy and the two workers seemingly overwhelmed.
After being ignored for about 5 minutes, I was eventually told my food would be ready in around 20 minutes. When I politely explained that the food was supposed to be ready 10 minutes prior, the "manager" told me it was the kitchen's fault and there was nothing she could do. She then walked away. No apology, no attempt at recompense, and quite frankly, her attitude suggested she just wished I would leave. I calmly told her I was going to cancel my order and she simply said "okay". After talking with another employee, I determined that my food hadn't even been started yet.
In the past we've always had good experiences with Thai Jasmine, but tonight was much different and very disappointing. The female manager is rude, dismissive, unprofessional, and has extremely poor customer service skills. She does not represent the restaurant well at all.
Time will tell whether we'll decide to give Thai Jasmine another try...
Read moreHave driven past this place for years and finally decided to try it because my sweet hubby had never tried Thai food. It did not disappoint!! For those who say the noodles are dry, they are the way they should be. So, if you want a very wet noodle, try the kind with a light gravy added like the Lard Nar. I had the Pad Kee Mao Chicken (1 ☆ spice level out of your choice of 5 ☆ spicy heat levels), and my hubby had the Pad Kee Mao Beef (4 ☆ spice level). The noodles are a broad rice noodle, very similar to egg noodles. Talk about extremely yummy!! Mine had just the right amount of spice, and my hubby's was very spicy the way he liked it. We also had two appetizers: the Eskimo Shrimp - deep fried and wrapped in a blanket of egg roll wrap. The other was the Crispy Chicken Wings, which came with a sweet and spicy sauce. Both were very delicious! Just know that if you order the crispy wings and you have a bit of a drive, your wings will steam from the heat, and they will not be crispy upon arrival at home. Vent the box open to prevent this from happening. I did this, and our chicken was still crispy. We spent $60 total but there was lots of food. We ate off of all this food for three meals. I would definitely recommend...
