The Yard Milkshake Bar — Restaurant in D'Iberville

I really do like this place! I ordered the cookie butter specialty milkshake. I can't quite remember the exact name of it but, it was really good. A quart sized specialty milkshake is $18 which isn't too bad of a price considering it's 2 pints of ice cream, a dessert, whipped cream and other pieces and some kind of sauce as well. The reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because the dessert I had on top of my milkshake was very good (I had a blonde Brownie) and the cinnamon and caramel cream they had put around the outside was great as well. The milkshake itself didn't taste very much like cookie butter. I scooped some of the cream from the rim and mixed it with my milkshake and ate it like that and it was really good. The milkshake could have had more flavor. I also think they should bring you a small plate with your milkshake to eat your dessert on instead of eating from the top of the milkshake which causes dessert to fall off on the table or eating off apaper napkin which makes a gross soggy napkin mess afterwards. First and last time today going there, the lady who welcomed us in today was very nice and sweet had a positive vibe and smile, as we took our time to decide and get in line to order we waited in line and the cashier that was there was very rude not one time did she have a smile or said hello, greeted us in a good mood, I doubt she was having a bad day because there was a family ahead of us and she was laughing talking with them and said bye, but as soon as me my Sister and cousin went up to order not one “hello how are you” “what could I get for you” nothing i don’t know if it was because we looked as if we didn’t speak English but that doesn’t make us any different from people who actually look like speaks English, I am a full time server and I’ve worked in the restaurant business for over 15 years and the way she managed her position was not as professional as it should be. Waited 45 minutes to get our $14 shakes I had the salted caramel cheesecake and hubby had The banana split.. Ask for no nuts in his but got them anyway ask for no chocolate candy pieces in mine got them anyway.. The shakes were very pretty decorated in a mason jar but The Ice cream was very disappointing. It was like drinking flavored milk with water added.. there was no ice cream like shake.. It feels like we paid $30 for 2 mason jars filled with watery flavored milk nicely decorated... I waited for this place to open and ask it be part of my mother's day from my husband but it was very disappointing to us both. I ask a waitress about it and was told id have to wait another 30 min to an hour.. we drank our flavored milk water n ate the topping and took our mason jars and went home very dissatisfied..
