Id like to give it a 5 star rating, but since the remodeled restaurant has opened, it hasn't been great. We have been in 3 times since the remodel, our first visit was the second day it opened, and we expected little mistakes because of everything being new. Our server, well lets just say he was kind of clueless. The food, not so great. I ordered the bacon chicken ranch sandwich, the chicken was burnt, and they didn't even put ranch on the sandwich! The manager came around to say hello, she decided to get us drink refills, I went to take a sip of what was supposed to be a diet coke, and she bought me a glass full of luke warm COFFEE. Normally this wouldn't be that bad, but i gag on the taste of coffee. How do you mistake the coffee maker for the coke machine?!
Our second visit was okay, the only upside was our amazing server, Brooke! She was outstanding!! My husband's food was made wrong, she offered to have it remade, but he declined and just ate it the way it came out. I was adventurous and tried the new chicken parm, the sauce consisted of big chunks of mashed tomatoes and no spices, hardly spaghetti sauce. We made the most of it, due to the great service.
Tonight was our 3rd visit, it was the worst so far. The host supposedly put us on the wait list, i don't know how, with only my first name and partial last name. I asked him if he wanted our phone number, as we were in the system and that's how they always pull up the info, he said no, he had it. Well, i never got a text confirmation like i always do, he did not put us on the list. Thankfully i stayed close, so he came and found me to seat us. Our young server was not pleasant, she was very cold. She brought the wrong drinks and forgot straws, no apologies or anything. Our food took over a half an hour to come out. I got the new roast beef po boy, and when i went to pick it up, half the bottom roll was missing and all the fillings fell out, i wasn't amused. My husband got the cajun alfredo and the sauce was like water.
I don't know if they got new cooks or what, but the food quality is horrible since the new opening, not to mention some new subpar employees. Please, please go back to the quality food from before the new opening, if not, you.may be losing quite a few...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were there this past Friday and the Friday beforehand. Last Friday we ate at Under The Oak. I ordered a slab of ribs and she ordered the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken. I come for the ribs. The ribs are usually on the spot. This time the ribs were tough which wasn't a big deal. This does happen, you do get sometimes a badd apple in the batch. John, the new manager who is transitioning over from the orchid room walked by and I stopped him and explained to him what was going on with my ribs. He was very courteous and willing to help. He took the ribs into the kitchen and came out and said the chef even said they were tough. Eventually a new order came out and they were spot on. John was very professional. Took the time to talk to us and actually concerned about our needs. It was nice to have someone professional like him addressing our order. Then. I think her name is Jen, our waitress. Oh she was great. She was right on it. She was ahead of herself. Couldn't have asked for a better server. First server ever and I mean ever who they are to give give us hand wipes for the ribs. I appreciate the professionalism and the concern that they expressed over our experience. Five stars was well deserved for both of...
Read moreI would like to inform the few people who leave 1 or 2 stars has a devastating effect on the business that you are reviewing. Just remember that the wait people cooks ect are only human and a times may have a off day. If your going to leave a negative review then do so in the comments telling the issue. The star rating really does not effect you or change your experience but can put a restaurants out of business. When clearly they are way more 5 stars. Reviews showing that it is a good place to eat. I love this place food is always good and prices are reasonable and staff are very nice and you can get breakfast all day. So be kind* and understand its not...
