My husband & I used to get up early in the morning & go to this Waffle House and eat. It’s always around the same time, with the same employees. The cook that’s there, is the same guy, he knows what he’s doing. He’s a really nice guy, very experienced, in fact, he could probably do everything in there a server could do, probably better. We used to only go to this Waffle House, on 3rd Ave, we had the same server every time. She was older, funny, and always took good care of us. But now, EVERY TIME, without fail, it’s like being in a high school cafeteria. There are always 3-4 servers in there, and this is around 3-4 in the morning. Which, is way too many for the amount of service they need for this hour. So, they are goofing off and being extremely loud. No one, at my age, wants to hear all of that noise, much less at that time in the morning. I couldn’t even hear my server speak. Heck, she couldn’t even hear me, my order is always messed up. And not cause of the cook’s mess up. Even my waffle wasn’t cooked all the way, the last two times. They also have their friends in there playing when them. Last time, we waited for our server to stop goofing off with their friends to get our ticket. I had to get up and find her and get her attention. It’s just always a bad experience the last 3 times we have gone at 3-4 am. So, although we live closer, we...
Read moreWe were in around 10 P.M. and there was only one server working, but the cook was doing double duty and helping her. We were in no hurry, so it was no big deal. After we had been there about 30 minutes a little short chubby woman with part of her hair shaved off along with a large heavy set guy with a mustache and beard came in and both appeared and or acted like employees. Well the short chubby woman immediately started giving the waitress who had been working alone a hard time in front of the customers and the fellow did the same to the cook. The chubby woman did eventually get some ice & bus a couple of tables. We had been listening to music on my phone while setting there, and just before these two left the dude turned on the jukebox, which I thought was rude since it drowned out my phone, and since they left just as soon as they started the jukebox, it seemed that his intention was to drown out my music, which wasn't turned up loud. If a customer had turned on the jukebox it would not have bothered me, but it was like these two people just came in to harass the two working there and apparently to annoy paying customers. If these 2 employee's had not came in acting like they did, I would have given this visit to the D'iberville Waffle...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Waffle House and had a wonderful experience, thanks in large part to our delightful server Jazz. We had the pleasure of interacting with her. Her bubbly personality and infectious smile immediately made my husband and I feel welcome and at ease.
During our conversation, she mentioned that Waffle House hosts a special Kids Night event, which piqued my interest as a parent looking for family-friendly dining options. Her enthusiasm for the event and attention to detail in explaining the offerings added an extra layer of charm to my dining experience.
