Folksy friendly spot to enjoy brunch or lunch and some days dinner. After seeing the almost perfect Google Review rating, we decided to stop here instead of seeking parking in Helen or Cleveland, glad we tried this spot, we'll be back. When you walk in the door, you are greeted by the kitchen staff (you can watch them at work) and Kitty, the friendliest server ever. She'll make sure your order is just right and set up your table, providing interesting and entertaining conversation as if you were part of her family. The food is good, crunchy fries that were tender inside came with my burger, and the omlets my guests had were fine! Plenty of parking, but we didn't know at first the diner was down the hill path past the golf recreation area, finally found it! The diner is inside the Mountain Lakes resort area but the guard at the gate lets you in when you tell them you are visitng the diner.

This place has amazing service. Kitty welcomed us like family. We really felt welcome even though it's a little place that just recently opened to the public. Everyone there treated us like locals. They even invited us to a Valentines party they were going to have in the evening. Unfortunately, we were not able to make it, but we would have loved to go. The food was really good. We had the bacon and cheese omelet, was soooo good and the pancakes 🥞 amazing.. so fluffy and tasteful. Just be sure to be hungry cause it's hard to finish them. All the food is freshly made so you know you gonna get good food. I Highly recommend visiting The Diner. You will not regret it.

Delicious little gem! Kitty gave us fabulous service and great conversation! While this diner is located inside a private residential area, it is open to the public. Don’t let that keep you away! Great prices, excellent service and delicious food! The boneless pork chop special with sides was delicious!

I need to edit my original 5 star review. I would now give a minus zero if I could. I am not sure what has happened to one of our favorite breakfast places. Staff has changed. Kitty and others are gone and the good food went with them. We took family that were in town to breakfast a couple of weeks ago and breakfast was absolutely not good. Scrambled eggs came out like brown roasted fried eggs. My husband’s normal omelette was greasy and not good. Biscuits not as good and pitiful piece of small dry sausage in the biscuit. Pancakes not as good. I could go on and on. Someone has made a major mistake and we will not be back till we see some messages from whoever in management made this major bad decision. We had to apologize to our family guests for the awful breakfast because we had told them we had been going for a couple of years since we moved to the area and never had a bad...

I've been dining here for many years since my wife and I joined the Timber Ridge Resort family. The restaurant has new recent owners who have made a big, positive, improved experience possible here. The food last night was Hamburger steak with optional gravy, onions, and mushrooms, and French fries or baked potato as well as a salad. The meal was exceptional as well as the atmosphere and service. Kitty, one of the owners, as well as a server and cashier, is a wonderful host. She and her staff are friendly, courteous, and thankful to all as customers and as a necessity to her business and she shows her appreciation and joy for that. We dearly love her and hope she thrives here. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the blackberry cobbler topped with ice cream. Yummy for all...
