Rt 75 Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Dakota

Our first time here and sadly will be the last time here. One bartender and only one waitress for the whole place and she was not familiar with the menu because she stated she was new. I asked for something to be omitted from my sandwich, but it came with it on it. My 76 yr old mother ordered a chimichanga because it was "Mexican night" when she received her order, her chimichanga which just looked a burnt taquito with burnt meat. It was so overcooked she couldn't chew it. When I alerted the server, she liked like a deer stuck in headlights and sent the "bartender" over who then explained that their cook makes chimichangas more like a flauta than a chimichanga and further went on to explain what a chimichanga usually looks like. Which we already know because this is why my mother wanted one, if she wanted a flauta then she she would've ordered a flauta. When I mentioned the burnt meat, she said yeah that part must've just gotten a little overdone. To save face she would've been better off to offer an apology or a replacement and not argue but I'm guessing customer service is not her strong point. We decided to give these guy another chance, it had been a few years since the last time we ordered food here and decided never again. What a mistake that was. The place has a bad odor that hits you in the face when you walk in the door. We sat at the bar got drinks and ordered food. We played slots while waiting. We sat down to.our food and my wife noticed something floating in her drink glass she dumped it and removed it from our ticket. She got a burger which the meat is supplied by a local farm and always high quality, they managed to make it taste bad. I got an Italian beef that looked like it had sat in boiling water all day and hardly resembled beef. Neither of us could struggle a 2nd bite and set our food to the side. Bartender ask if we wanted boxes to which I replied "no, i was really hoping the food had improved but thats disgusting" no offer to remove the items or even offer a discount. Visited the Rt. 75 Bar and Grill during the 40 Mile Garage Sale. Service was slow. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. However, once we got the food, we immediately knew this place was great. The PORK TENDERLOIN SANDWICH is the best I have had in close to 40 years. The thing was HUGE!. Excellent taste. The tater tots were so good and crispy you will want mnore when you finish the batch you have eaten. With all the fried food I had i my meal, there not a bit of grease left anywhere on the plate. In a restaurant, I look at three things: 1. Is the food good? 2. Is the staff competent? and 3. Is the service quick? I can live without the third condition if numbers 1 and 2 are clearly evident. This place missed on the quick service, but the staff was very competent and the food was outstanding. Despite living in Milwaukee, WI, I will be back for the PORK TENDERLOIN SANDWICH. Albsolutely the best I have eaten in 40 years. Great place...
